@DamagedRiver It's really way, way too early to get concerned about impacts on people. It is just a vague model hint at this point. Also, the Philippines is a huge nation made up of thousands of islands. A typhoon doesn't impact the entire nation.

WPAC is dead. Feast your eyes, because it won't stay like this. El Niños tend to ignite wild #typhoon seasons. So, I expect to be out there a lot this year—maybe soon. Some long-range ensemble models are suggesting possible typhoon threat to #Philippines between 10 & 15 days.
