@AnisDrawn But that was the wrong conclusion the publishers took from that. People want games to last if they are expensive but even 10 hour campain games can last far longer if its just pure fun. Dont think the old God of War games had complainers but the new ones with all the padding do

These people are the reason AAA games went for Open World Slop that takes 200 hours to complete so you "get more hours of play"

@heavyxeyed everyone wants a challenge they can JUST beat packed in good game design but i dont think difficulty is the factor here you could say its personal taste but the new map just isnt resonating with alot of people and the new content on old map isnt in game if you attack 8/10 bosses

I've been saying it for a very long time - capita G Gamers™️ don't want hard games, they want the illusion of difficulty so they can flex without effort

@Drazon333 having the knowladge to traverse the map doesnt change that its not enjoyable to run around chasms or have people get lost and you see your win slip throu your fingers Its a multiplayer game on a timer at least wher to go and how to get there should be intuitive

@Rockmih @JollyWangcore if you go for the head you might be able to see whats going on and learn when to attack there But if you try to tickle his toes or try to attack the OPEN WOUND you wont see anything because Bayle only has one lock on point on his head far from the best in that regard

@JollyWangcore The reason the DS formula is so watered down is you people wanting accommodation for everything. It doesnt even makes sense, Bayle is probably one of the best fights where the camera doesnt really get in the way, doing this just removes the feeling of fighting a gian foe.

I will never understand the youth's need to say the past sucks when they live in a cultural wasteland because the people making stuff now didn't learn the right lessons from past media and backed by greedy corpos. It was considered a golden age for a reason.

lots of people are confused about the difference between courtyard blocks and the new, massive multifamily buildings arranged around parking lots! I am here to help. SO the "Margo" (left) is a large, hotel-like apartment building built for maximum rental throughput, not for families or long-term attachment. It offers few large units, no diversity of ownership, and no direct access to safe, private outdoor space. and it sits in a car-dependent, non-walkable area disconnected from the neighborhood. By contrast, a courtyard block (right)—made up of multiple smaller buildings around a secure, shared courtyard—supports a mix of unit sizes, including family apartments, allows for mixed ownership, and gives residents direct access to outdoor space. Its decentralized design fosters walkability, neighborhood interaction, and lasting attachment. it creates a high-value, family-friendly urban environment of "forever homes" that the Margo’s monolithic model cannot replicate.

This comment has become the final boss of every serious conversation about game design. Yes, why shouldn't I press the "nuke all enemies, win the game" button? Players will alway optimize the fun out of every game, and good game design mustn't let that happen. It's not the player's responsibility to shoot themselves in the foot to maintain an enjoyable gaming experience.

@Drazon333 i think both are at least very good but DS3 bosses stick out more, because there wasnt so much around on THIS level back then also growing player experience as a whole + a more open world in ER helped alot so people just blitz through some of the bosses on accident
