When @49ers WR @AnquanBoldin won the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, it was easily one of the best moments of my career to be with him on the journey. One of the best humans and grateful for his friendship. Also, can’t believe it’s been 10 years!

Wichita is located in the heart of our nation, and today we are grieving. I received confirmation this morning that no one survived the crash of American Airlines flight 5342. This is a sad day for Kansas and our nation. My heart breaks for the lives that were lost and their loved ones who are now learning that their family or friends were on the flight. There will be much to learn and do in the coming days in the wake of this tragedy, but today please join me in praying for the victims and their families. May God comfort them and watch over all those who are mourning.

Championship Sunday’s can be either the best or worst. This time in 2013 was the best after beating the Falcons 28-24 after being down 17-0 early on. Great memories!

What an inspiring couple of days at the @NSMASportsMedia Awards Weekend in Greensboro. It was quite a thrill to meet some of my broadcast heroes and exchange ideas with the other state winners as well. I’ve often said Kevin Harlan is the ultimate humble superstar and that was once again on display as he received his national honor. @Buck had us all in stitches at several points throughout the night with his fantastic wit and @JeffPassan delivered perhaps the best tribute to his late father I’ve ever heard in a setting like that. So many great highlights, so many motivating moments. I’m blessed beyond measure and so grateful for this honor, but the experience itself and the inspiration it sparked was by far the best part. Thanks again to all my talented peers in Kansas for the chance to represent them this year and kudos to Dave Goren, Wes Durham and the rest of the NSMA team for a fabulous, first-class event.
