@billykyle @grok what are the current regulatory hurdles preventing the actually smart summon feature from being available on HW4 vehicles in Australia and what is a likely timeline for approval?

Ok so Summon is actually a sick feature. It weaved through my apartment parking lot, through the pouring rain, and picked me up under the overhang. Insane.

@RobGrieves This is one example, our exit was not for another 30kms, i can only assume it thought this was an additional left lane starting

1. Strong left lane bias — the car wants to merge left at almost every opportunity Obeys the keep left unless overtaking rule ✅ 2. Frequently indicates and partially merges into breakdown lanes or freeway off-ramps, thinking they're left lanes, then course-corrects I have had it try to take the exit before the correct one but it corrected itself. Haven't had it try to get into an emergency lane. 3. Signals way too early, often 400m+ before intersections Agreed, apparently US has the same issue. 4. Tries to merge left partway through multi-lane roundabouts. Personally haven't had this. 5. Uncomfortable speed management — often accelerates or uses regen too promptly when matching posted speed limits on profiles standard and hurry. I enjoy this behaviour personally. It matches my driving style. 6. Hurry profile on motorways is overly conservative — often struggles to overtake slower vehicles. Haven't experienced this personally.

I believe some Model YL have got it already. Looks to me like the roll-out is paused for additional bug fixing. Sorry guys I know you're dissapointed. If it was up to me everyone on the Advanced software channel should still get it in its current form. Hopefully won't take long

@TeslaAUNZ @Tesla_AI from our experience today, V14 Down under hurry profile around town is perfect, but on the high way its far too conservative. My wife and I both opted to turn off FSD on the high way portion of our drive today. The ability to set a target speed seems like a missing puzzle piece.

Day 2 v14.3.3 - New discoveries 1. Did some 110km/h road testing. While improved, I'm not calling it fixed just yet. It gets up to a good speed (114km/h in Hurry) but then it seems to be having some kind of internal conflict, where something is trying to slow it down and something else it trying to speed it up. This results in some jerky accelerating, then regen, repeat behavior. Definitely still needs some work. 2. Parking - had some good park jobs but also a few times where it would just park in the middle of a road. Also an area that needs more work, but we never had parking capability before so its still ∞ x better than v13. 3. It's parking in my garage at home now, but forwards. There's currently no way to tell it to back in. I'm sure that will come with future versions, not a big deal. 4. There's some nav data related minor issues still which v14 seems to handle better than v13, but are still there. Hopefully we get a nav update soon as we're on year old data at this point (2025.8). Finally, it definitely passed the wife test. She didn't have a problem with v13 but wasn't actively impressed with it. That changed today when I took her out with v14. Excited to see it rolling out to non early access folks today!

I feel truly honoured to be included in the Early Access group for FSD v14.3.3 in Australia. I've come back from roughly 60km of driving on it, all of which was on FSD. I have some video that needs editing but in the meantime, here is a writeup of my first impressions: This is an enormous upgrade over 13.2.9. The speed profiles are absolutely transformational. I used the hurry profile for the entire drive and really for me I don't think I'd ever use anything else. On hurry, the car is very assertive, it has the sense of urgency v13 lacks while still being smooth, confident and extremely safe. Below are all my complaints I had with v13 and how v14 addresses them. 1. Speed too slow / degradation On Hurry, the car accelerates confidently and quickly and stays pinned to 5kph over the limit. For WA this is perfect as 5kph on the speed is 3kph in true speed. This means it won't trigger any speed cameras. In Victoria this might be too much and you might want to stick to Standard. No more PoE!! I pronounce this issue FIXED. It also slows down to a lower speed zone quicker. 2. Staging for upcoming turns v13 would wait until the last 2-300m before changing lanes to prepare for an upcoming turn. v14 gets where it needs to be well ahead of time. FIXED 3. Lane change timidness v13 was frustratingly timid with lane changes. Hurry mode in v14 gets over well in advance to pass slower traffic and returns to the left lane as soon as appropriate. 4. Roundabouts v13 would be slow and sometimes misjudge gaps with roundabouts. v14 absolutely aces roundabouts. It feels really really good. FIXED. Cons? There are none compared with v13. It's night and day. Parking was mostly great. Twice I had to tap the accelerator to get it to pull out of a parking lot. It did a poor job of one of its park jobs but aced others. It did a weird thing when it got close to my house and decided to park where it shouldn't. The next attempt it missed my house and pulled into a neighbours driveway. Other than that, absolute perfection. @Tesla_AI @TeslaAUNZ it's ready, push it wide ASAP. I can't wait for everyone to try this.

@RobGrieves Must be soon if they're withholding new owners from getting v13.2.9. June 30th sounds like a good line in the sand
