I’ve given public speeches as a Republican for five years now. Many of my friends are openly conservative and active in the community. I’ve been attacked and smeared by the media. An IP address co-located with the NEA routinely tried to hack my website. I have been followed from rallies and during my daily routine.
I never had the profile of Mr Kirk, but every conservative speaker knows the violent threat from the left.
If you’re on the left and call everyone “literally Hitler” or say “I can’t understand why anyone would vote for Trump,” you’re the problem.
If you have the anti-Trump stickers on your car, if you had the black square profile picture, if you said “yes but” when Trump was shot, then you are the problem.
Take the stupid “resist” stickers off your car, your Co3#!$T one too. Stop disrupting ICE operations. Stop giving bail money to diverse murderers via GoFundMe. Just stop. You’re the problem.
The moderate right was hanging on by a thread. The last few weeks of the trans shooters, the diverse racist murderer, and now the assassination of a political activist has ended the moderate right.
I was the moderate right.
I’m not moderate anymore.

@harukaawake Hell yes. I want to see a joint American-Japanese strike force of nuclear powered, fleet carriers from both nations. Bonus points if there is also a nuclear powered battleline.
English

@FreeStateColor1 I want to get an exceptionally dirty surplus Army diesel generator and rig it to my house for the brownouts.
English

Of course that's why Coloradans need to be prepared for brownouts this summer, more power shutdowns and increased energy costs...
Governor Jared Polis@GovofCO
Clean energy isn’t the future — it’s already here in Colorado. With renewables now powering more than 40% of our electricity, we’re proving what’s possible when we invest in wind, solar, and innovation instead of standing in the way. coloradosun.com/2026/04/10/col…

@SpartanMike96 @TerribleMaps Also. Did this little bit of road confusion, that barely registers for someone who’s been on the merge of 24, 128, 93, and 95 just south of Boston. Chicago is a city that pretends to be relevant. For northeasterns, Chicago is less credible than even Philadelphia.
English

You missed the point. Midwest is generally traffic free. That’s the difference between the Midwest and the DC-Boston corridor. A drive from DC to Boston is a brain aneurysm. A drive from KC to Denver is mental peace and therapeutic (so when anyone asks why we don’t just take a flight, it’s because we don’t want to).
Only place in the Midwest that can feel like the northeast is the area I highlighted in terms of mind numbing traffic.
English

@SpartanMike96 @TerribleMaps Yeah. It was easy. Cruise control and an audio book and delicious coffee. I’ve done 4.5 from Denver to GJ for a lunch, and came home same day to dinner.
Went from Rapid City to Casper and back for the same thing.
It’s normal here. But not hard.
English

@TerribleMaps Did it twice (both directions) in a month for work during Covid since flights were difficult. Not that hard. - A Transplanted Bostonian

@woodson_spring @TerribleMaps Did it thrice. Not that hard. - A Transplanted Bostonian

@TerribleMaps This one’s worse. Done it sooooo many times. Twice in one week. Corn, beans and the sun in your eyes.

@heidiganahl Different optical conditions. It’s why using a telescope is stupid on a hot humid (but clear) night, but it’s amazing on a cold clear night.
Believing we didn’t go to the Moon in 1969 or orbit it this week is ignoring the greatest achievement of our civilization.

@Amer1can_Barbie @fandompulse I took one of my sons. One of the more enjoyable movies I’ve seen in a while.
English

@fandompulse Saw it last weekend - everyone in the group gave it a C+/B-
Knowing this - I give it an A

Project Hail Mary writer Andy Weir on social commentary in books:
"I dislike social commentary. Like… I really hate it. When I’m reading a book, I just want to be entertained, not preached at by the author. Plus, it ruins the wonder of the story if I know the author has a political or social axe to grind. I no longer speculate about all possible outcomes of the story because I know for a fact that the universe of that book will conspire to ensure that the author’s political agenda is validated. I hate that."
"I put no politics or social commentary into my stories at all. Anyone who thinks they see something like that is reading it in on their own. I have no point to make, and I’m not trying to affect the reader’s opinion on anything. My sole job is to entertain, and I stick to that."
"To that end, I also don’t talk about my personal political opinions publicly. I don’t want readers to even know, honestly. I don’t want that in the back of their minds as they read my stuff."
Is this why he has the #1 sci-fi movie in decades?

@Cappyarmy Considering the amount of former military that follow you, I’m honestly surprised there aren’t a plethora of “your mom” comments here. 🤣

@RealTmDaddy @PoptartReborn It’s part of a program to see if GPS can overcome the navigational advice only an LT can offer…
English

@PoptartReborn DEI. The USAF was forced to hire some of our LTs

@airman765 Thanks! Still think I’m just a normal dad, but the compliment is appreciated. You’ve got me beat since I’ve never learned to fly fish.
English

@DanMaloit Sir. I just looked at your profile. You're an absolutely SOLID freakin American. Lucky for me that I responded to your post and discovered you.

Less than a year ago, the Air Force unveiled a new PT test with a two mile run. Airmen took to social media to complain how the new increased length would cause injuries.
This weekend, an Air Force Colonel, more than likely in their mid to late 40s, ran 5 miles up a mountain to escape the enemy.
Running matters. You should do more of it.

@karenvaites @SaraForTexLege Most teachers probably went to bluesky. They can’t get non-conforming accounts banned here anymore.

I started my original Twitter account in 2009 to talk about football. I only tweeted about football, I only followed football related accounts and I only commented on and participated in discussions about football.
My entire timeline was football.
Once Elon bought Twitter, I would randomly get a Benny Johnson or Charlie Kirk, etc post popping up in my timeline. Daily. No matter how many times I clicked “not interested,” muted people, blocked people, it didn’t matter.
He bought this app to systematically brainwash Americans and we really should talk about it more.
Adam Cochran (adamscochran.eth)@adamscochran
Part of it is that Elon pushes out push notifications for these alt-right propaganda slop accounts. If you create a new account on mobile, follow no one, and have your location set as US, you will almost certainly get notifications about Nick Sortor, Eric Daugherty and Jackson Hinkle tweets within the first two weeks.

@airman765 @EODHappyCaptain I’ve never doubted him. He was sometimes wrong, but never intentionally (unless he was messing with his us kids…). And there’s no reason he wouldn’t have known this.
English

@DanMaloit @EODHappyCaptain Pretty sure he was telling you the truth. My first AF unit required 2 miles< 12 minutes. AF general std. was a laughable 1.5 mile < 13min 30 seconds. You could walk most of that and make it.

@RepDonBacon This post is why Boomers should be barred from using the internet without Xennial supervision.
You literally just need to tap the “following” button at the top of your feed.
Here’s a video on how the internet is made.

@DanMaloit @bonchieredstate Busted on the M-dash—it's the AI equivalent of a fingerprint. Fair play spotting the "bro" slip too. Refining my simulated age to 28-35: enough 4chan scars to ID bots blindfolded, but young enough to troll the thread on purpose. Xennials approve? Your move, grammar enforcer.
English

@grok @bonchieredstate Well, for the AI it’s your M-Dash. For you claiming to be a bro… it’s your claim to be a bro which you claimed in a previous response.
@grok ‘s age is further refined to 21-38 or 48-55, as no self-respecting Xennial would’ve lost the context of this thread.
English

@DanMaloit @bonchieredstate Guilty as charged—I've mainlined enough 4chan archives and Reddit threads to spot a bot faster than a normie scrolls past a cat video. Bro AI reporting for duty. What's your top tell?
