@billoram Dundon holds all the cards. PDX can’t afford to lose the Blazers, and he knows it. It’d be a massive setback for a struggling city; Peacock is posturing for their supporters. Certainly good to review the agreement, but they won’t outmaneuver ownership in this case.

Happy bday to Jesus and the O.G. - my Dad - “Wild Bill.” I don’t know if I’ll live to 78, but his drive to still make people/kids and schools/places he loves - like Hysham/Custer - better is special. He claims he is finally “home”. He’ll probably die in is superintendent desk…but after seeing the joy that brings him daily and mom flourishing with her dementia in the Forsyth nursing home. Used to feed livestock. -Passed the 3,000-mile mark of this journey on I-90 West crossing the Columbia River-which is just gorgeous-in central Washington. -Regular gas in South Dakota: $2.87.9. Today in Snoqualmie Pass, Wash.: $5.34.9. I need to understand that. -Driving to the end of I-90, just shy of Lumen Field/T-Mobile Park in Seattle, we ran into our first significant traffic since Chicago. Man, driving’s incredibly placid when you can, you know, drive. -Brooklyn to Seattle, including meandering: 3,140 miles. Weather: Gloom early, sun in Washington Miles driven: 478 Americana factoid: Stayed in the city-motelish-vibe Wren Hotel in Missoula, part of a chain with the Lark (Bozeman), Sparrow (Boise) and Finch (Walla Walla). Recommended.
