Orlovsky continues to pull the victim card, pretending that people are going at him for having an unpopular opinion. In reality, people are going at him for being disingenuous and misrepresenting.
Putting aside the hypothetical agency connection, I personally take issue with two things:
1. Rather than tangibly showing why he believes Simpson is better than Mendoza, Dan ultimately crosses the line to instead assert that 13/15 GMs agree with him. That’s not analysis. It’s an egotistical assertion that unnecessarily brings attention to these players for the purpose of defending yourself. I also highly doubt those conversations even happened.
2. Dan confidently claimed that Mendoza hasn’t shown up in big games. Like I said before, I haven’t been tuned into the draft this year, but unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know how blasphemous that sounds, especially when juxtaposed to Simpson. Mendoza has been phenomenal in big spots, and it’s arguably his biggest draw right now.
Nobody is going at you for having an opinion. They are going at you for being disingenuous, misrepresenting, and perhaps being induced by a motive.
The draft is highly unpredictable. It’s not about the conclusions you make on these players, it’s about the process you take in getting there.

Update on my cat bc the situation got weird.
