Bama started the year with a 14 point loss to a team that finished 5-7 and ended the season with a non-competitive 21-point loss. I dunno man. I get the argument both ways but I’m leaning out.

1. Alabama and BYU out — consistency with conference title game losers
2. Miami and Notre Dame both get in, avoiding the biggest debate of the entire CFP.

There is also a world in which BYU loses to Texas Tech and isn't really penalized for it bc they only lost to one team all year (twice). And BYU stays as the buffer between Notre Dame and Miami.

Odds BYU beats TTU: +400
Notre Dame having exactly inverse odds of BYU, and basically the exact odds of BYU beating TTU, means both teams' CFP fate is linked to the B12 title game.
