Huge win for $CNRD. I previously estimated these YRBM barges cost them ~$22M to build. Can add a couple million to be conservative and account for inflation. At ~$30.6M revenue per barge (4 barges total), we are looking at an incremental $25M+ in pre-tax earnings over the next 3 years off just this one contract. Feel like people got bored with the name but throw in their blue autonomy deal ramping up and recent segway into data center/power gen facility fab work this is still trading super cheap. Conrad Shipyard LLC,* Morgan City, Louisiana, is awarded a $122,375,200 firm-fixed-price modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-22-C-2253) for the detail, design, and construction of four additional Yard Repair, Berthing, and Messing. Work will be performed in Amelia, Louisiana, and is expected to be completed by July 2029. Fiscal 2026 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $122,375,200 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract action was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 3204(a)(3) (industrial mobilization). Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
