One silver lining of Trump/Bibi's stupid Iranian debacle and the energy and resource crisis it has unleashed is that it is suggesting (just like the Russia-Ukraine war has been) that cheap projectiles enabled most of all by the massive reduction in the cost of microprocessors are making it easier for smaller countries to defend against larger ones.
One has to hope that after a few more debacles like this, this idea will become more and more internalized.
Whether this trend will save Taiwan I'm not sure because Taiwan seems so small that a massive concentration of Chinese firepower seems likely to overwhelm it.
P.S. my take isn't in any way meant as a celebration of the Iranian regime's ability to survive per se. I really wish it gone. However. I just don't think evil is worth eradicating at all cost.
