Growing up it was mostly red like VA was generally. Parents split for a while and pop lived in Reston while I lived with mom in the Bay Area in California. I remember how conservative and Christian (in contrast to the Bay Area) it was but also the subdivision having a smattering of Black families, where i met my first Black friend (still buds today). Today? Dad's house (he passed away in 2017) lovingly cared for by a lovely Latino family (husband is half Brazilian/Angolan, wife in Colombian) who own a Anytime Fitness franchise and area abt 1/3 Black, 1/3 Asian and mostly Democratic.

If you’re voting for Kamala because of abortion laws… you should realize that she won’t be able to go in and change the abortion laws !! She has been sitting VP for 2 years since the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade. This decision removed the federal constitutional protection for abortion, allowing individual states to set their own abortion laws and regulations and since then, Kamala has done nothing to change this and would have to go through a republican congress to over turn this decision which wouldn’t happen!! You’re voting for her because of one SYMBOLIC issue she “SAYS” she’s going to change but hasn’t for 2 years.
