@DataNFT_ Yes. If I need to look at code I use nano/vim or just cat. I run it in WSL.

Cursor is honestly just the worst. If it was actually a cutting edge IDE I wouldn't be saying this, but cursor is just a fork of vscode with literally nothing special about it anymore in the year of our lord two thousand and twenty six.

@d3layd Totally. But where do you use Claude Code? Directly in terminal?

@DataNFT_ Exactly. The reason cursor blew up in the first place was because they filled the void by creating an agentic IDE interface before VS Code could adapt. I stopped using Cursor in July last year in favor of Claude Code and never looked back.

@jacobmparis that's why Claude Code exists. Went through this same process about a year ago.

claude desktop feels so siloed - want to switch to cowork? start a new chat - want to switch to code? start a new chat - want to switch models? start a new chat there's no way to take the long conversation you're having and do anything else with it

@d3layd Other than the remote capabilities, what else is Claude Code missing that OpenClaw has?

I love anthropic, but it's wild to see how fast they are trying to create openclaw inside of claude. I'm not complaining, I just think it's interesting.

@DataNFT_ Great question! For me it's the autonomous layer - Claude Code needs me driving, OpenClaw runs while I sleep. Different tools for different jobs

What's something you've been able to do with OpenClaw that you haven't been able to do with Claude Code?

@voidsnam Really? Say more. I dont really find Claude Code to be that slow. It's all just a function of the instructions I give it. How does OpenClaw make things faster?

@insomnia_vip Yeah... that's where I'm at too. Playing around with OpenClaw, but trying to figure out what use cases to run through it that I don't already handle with Claude Code.

Ive been using mobile for more informational things. I too have created my own terminal and bot wrapped around Claude Code. I use it for everything from coding, to email management etc. So when im on the go, and I want to take a note, or reference something I did, I want it to be able to pull up that information for me.

mobile access is the one thing that makes or breaks the whole workflow. been building a terminal called Moshi specifically for this — uses mosh protocol so your session survives phone sleep and network switches instead of dropping like regular SSH. what kind of stuff do you usually need to do from mobile?

At this point, I'm going to file "You don't need a database. Just use a filesystem." in my mental rage bait cabinet, along with "RAG is dead".

Software engineering changed more in the last 3 months than the preceeding 30 years. Everything about running a software company needs to be rethought from first principles.
