Rory, I am married to a Muslim; you talk crap about pretty much everything. Many, many liberal Muslims, esp. women, actively despair at the hardline clerics, factions and Muslim Brotherhood fellow travellers that we are importing into the UK without a thought as to consequences, to say nothing of the quantities of illegal migrants from cultures that practise a) child marriage, b) open hostilty to non-Muslims and c) paedophilia in various cultural disguises. And we haven't even touched on cultural issues with legal migration. I know you are called Florence of Arabia, but may be talk to women living in some areas of London now. Keep going, John Cleese.

.@JohnCleese - What would Christian “culture” look like if you represented it with 1 Sam 15:3 Josh 6:21 Deut 7:1 Deut 20:16–18 Ex 17 - Deut 25 Psalm 137:9 etc? How about actually meeting some Muslims and listening to them instead of demonising a religion you know very little about with selective quotations…
John Cleese@JohnCleese

This is complete nonsense To criticise a culture whose holy book advocates the killing of all the people they disagree with...is not racist It's culturalist And this criticism seems wholly justifiable to me Oh ! There's the door bell. Must be the police...

@Mr_Husky1 Marriage is becoming one. What's his becomes yours, what's yours becomes his. It's no place for personal possessions. If you won't share it, then you are not ready for marriage.

I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Now he’s saying that before we get married, I should put the entire inheritance into a joint account so we can “start fresh together,” or he doesn’t think we should go through with the wedding. I’m 36 already and this is something my family worked hard to leave me. I’m torn between wanting to build a life together and feeling like I’m being pressured to give up something important to me. What do you think I should do? By isitmeaitah

@Rizvana_Raza I was an electronic engineer in the 1970's and 80's. I helped design circuits in radios and other equipment that withstood EMP. I am sure its even better now.

By the way, this bomb is something else; it doesn't just kill people. The moment it explodes, it destroys everything electronic and electrical. It ruins all electronic devices, and within minutes, you are sent back to the Stone Age. In an instant, all aircraft carriers, submarines, and the like will turn into drifting pieces of iron on the water's surface without any guidance, and planes will fall from the sky. This is the Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) bomb, and those who openly possess it are: North Korea, China, Russia, and the USA. As for who possesses it in secret, only God knows. And no "guessing games" (nonsense) are allowed here! 🤭 #altın #Iran #IranWar

I do not think this can be true: "I'm sure there are many good, tolerant Muslim people in this country who mix Western ideals with the muslim faith" If they are Muslim, then they are declaring that they are following the teachings of the Koran, which tells them to dominate and kill us.

For a number of years, more than 20 years ago, I worked for a Pakistani owned business and lived in a Muslim dominated area of Manchester. I understand why Nick feels this way, and those railing against it in the name of diversity are ignoring that Islam is aggressively intolerant of other religions. I have many years of personal experience with both immigrant and British born Pakistanis. There was no real difference. Islam is the one true faith and all others are "kafir". It's a far more exclusive religion than others, there is no interest in diversity of faith. You are Muslim, or you are "kafir". This was highlighted to me on the day of 9/11. It was early in the morning, around 9am, and cheers started echoing down the corridors. Word started to spread and they were all grinning and clapping each other on the backs. These were men and women born and raised here for the most part. The owner wheeled in a big CRT TV and 30-40 of them gathered around BBC news laughing and cheering like Pakistan were in the cricket world cup final. It is not hard to see why large public prayers by followers of a religion perceived as hostile to your very existence can feel less like worship and more like an assertion of dominance. I'm sure there are many good, tolerant Muslim people in this country who mix Western ideals with the muslim faith. People that consider themselves British among all else. But I learned that day that there are less than you think.
Nick Timothy MP@NJ_Timothy

Too many are too polite to say this. But mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination. The adhan - which declares there is no god but allah and Muhammad is his messenger - is, when called in a public place, a declaration of domination. Perform these rituals in mosques if you wish. But they are not welcome in our public places and shared institutions. And given their explicit repudiation of Christianity they certainly do not belong in our churches and cathedrals. I am not suggesting everybody at Trafalgar Square last night is an Islamist. But the domination of public places is straight from the Islamist playbook. Trafalgar Square belongs to all of us. It is a national memorial to our independence and our salvation. Last night was not like a televised football match or a St Patrick’s Day celebration. It was an act of domination and therefore division. It shouldn’t happen again.

@jaysonyork I agree. Modern songs are often very scriptural, but it's mostly women and girls singing to the congregation, and mostly women and girls who get caught up emotionally. I struggle to worship in this, but do so, dutifully.

One of the most magical things about India is the wildlife. I still cannot believe my eyes when I drive from town to town. On my drive to Monkey Temple in Jaipur, this is what the road looked like. It’s not uncommon to see dogs, cows, & tons of monkeys in the streets of India.
Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer

Honestly, as someone who has traveled a lot, India is the best country I have ever traveled to. It’s incredible. I will have been here for 9 days when I leave, and there is still so much to see and do. My experience has been amazing and India is portrayed negatively in the media as a place Amercians should avoid, but I realize a lot of that is completely made up. The people, food, culture and hospitality culture are just incredible. I have felt safe and comfortable the entire time I have been here and India will truly be the next big super power. This country has incredible potential and you have to see it yourself to understand because the media only makes it out to be 3rd world. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Indian people are the nicest people I have ever met. I am very grateful for my time in India. I have enjoyed it so much and I hope I can come back every year. Next time I want to visit South India. I have tried to do as much as possible these last 9 days but there is still so much to see and do. All good things come to an end. I’ll be back (hopefully soon). I love India. My misconceptions have been corrected. I have nothing but nice things to say. 🇮🇳

@TomBuck In the old covenant it was right to fear God because of his severe punishment. Jesus changed the phrase from ' fear God and obey His commandments' to 'if you love me you will obey my commandments'. Now it's love, respect, worship...and forgiveness.

@wordsofthislife What more does Christ have to do? Tetalestai. Christ is King. All suffering will end in the New Heaven and the New Earth. Satan is restrained during this age. So God can work through the Holy Spirit, in us, to spread His Gospel and bring His will to earth, as it is in Heaven.

I have scriptural reasons for believing Christ’s kingdom has not yet come and He is not yet ruling from David’s throne but it is also legitimate to ask those who believe that He is thus reigning, if so: Where is the peace? Where is the relief from injustice and suffering?

@DrAlanKurschner Why would they not?the Kingdom of Jesus is nit of this world but He told us to pray that the Fathers will be done here like it is in Heaven. Us Christians can help make that happen by being obedient to Him. The eschatology doesn't change that.
