@JuliaHB1 Agree. Problem of affluence. 6 yo given expensive gadgets and free data from parents, who then blame the tech firms. Brought up in kid's home. Even if tech around in 60s, no way could afford it. No £ until Sat job at 14, and that wouldn't have given me enough to be on line 16hrs.

The 20yr old woman at the centre of this case started using social media at the age of SIX and was on it ALL DAY LONG, contributing to her mental health problems, she claims. Shouldn't she be suing her PARENTS for failing to do THEIR job of looking after their young child? I'm no fan of social media companies but this is first and foremost a massive parenting fail.

Kid's home, only had £ from 14 with Saturday job. Parent's need to take responsibility. Answer, if worried, give your kid's brick phone until 16. Sorted.
