@Mpa_lestine Fun fact. Well over half of religious believers belong to a religion based on Judaism.

@AlanRMacLeod Or neither. The use of galley slaves along with European dress seems more like Spain to me. I'd think 17th century Spain has too much of a hereditary class and power structure to be called capitalist.

@TheTrekCentral Shouldn't the people who say they liked the show be the ones to ask themselves why the series got cancelled? Those that didn't like the show seem to already have their answers.

@LensScientific If the universe is infinite wouldn't that make the non-observable portion 100%?

@Jordanguidry6 @QuanticASI And even so, I don't buy it. You, Elon, and Trump might not be candidates for NPCs, but I know I should. And I know I'm not. No competent programmer would bother rendering my life in detail.

if our universe is a simulation, what computational resources would be required to render it at the level of quantum detail we observe? is that even possible without infinite energy?

@Jordanguidry6 @QuanticASI Probably less than 0.000000001% of everything there is to see. Do galaxies beyond our local group need more than a couple bits of data most of the time? How many planets even within our local group need more than a couple bits of data most of the time?

@_Ochiedike Especially when you consider how many of us have visited the tombs of Mark Anthony, Pompey, Boudicca, Alexander the Great, and Genghis Khan. Why should all these historical figures remains be available while biblical figures are not?

I find it strange that we can find 5,000-year-old mummies in Egypt, but we find no trace of biblical figures.

@TheProjectUnity What did humanity lose to stop us from creating beautiful buildings? My guess is we 'lost' an economic system that promoted poverty by directing too much investment into assets that don't have an economic payback.

@pragsrats @0xChiraag Of course it is neither click bait nor a misunderstanding on the part of the questioner. I imagine whoever originally wrote the question understood exactly what they were doing, and did it well. I know I had to think about it for several seconds to see what they did. Good job.

If this is claikbait then good job. You managed to get what you wanted but if that was meant to be a genuine question, I am sorry for you as the problem is your question. You borrowed ₹1 lakh. Gave them ₹2k and kept ₹1k for your. Spent on laptop - ₹97k. So, 97 + 2 +1. That's the math you follow!! You can't add wrong things and expect a right answer.

I borrowed 50k from Dad and 50k from Mum to buy a laptop that costs 97k. After the purchase, I had 3k left. I returned 1k to Dad and 1k to Mum, and I reserved 1k for myself. I now owe Dad 49k and Mum 49k also. 49k + 49k = 98k plus 1k I reserved for myself, which is 99k. So where did 1k go..?

@miles_commodore Seriously or ranting? If serious, it's because a term to apply to people with visible African ancestry is useful in the US. We make decisions and judgements based on that. We don't generally do that depending on which European country people come from. Fair? No. True? Yes.

Why am I referenced as an African-American? I hate that! My ancestors go back well over 200 years in this country. That's much longer than most other Americans. Do we call them British or Irish Americans? The term is dumb and I'm not a fan of it. I’m American!
