@SamanthaTaghoy Someone lobbying to get support for you through your suffering is not "cosplaying your suffering." I'm sorry anti-LGBT activists took advantage of your pain and lied to you.

I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and a genetic predisposition for endometriosis. The pain gets so bad or I lose so much blood that I pass out, haemorrhage, or end up in hospital. I might not be able to have kids because of it. I am sick of men cosplaying our suffering. A man can identify as a woman. But he will never be female. Endometriosis and PCOS are debilitating conditions which affect one in ten women. WOMEN. Only women. You will never feel the heartbreak of miscarrying a child, the agony of dysmenorrhea, the fear of being told as a teenager that the biological process your body was built for will cause decades of pain and suffering. Our biology is not your label. Our suffering is not your kink. Our bodies are not your costume. If a straight cisgender woman was hired as a transgender representative, the trans community would be outraged. So why is it okay for a man to be hired for a woman’s job? We deserve advocates and representatives who actually understand us. Our bodies. Our disease. Our choice. If you were born with a penis, you will never know what it’s like to be a woman. Stop fetishising the female experience.

Endometriosis is a debilitating condition that affects one in ten women. That’s biological women. Not men pretending to be women. This appointment should be reviewed and a woman should be appointed instead.

The novelist Amanda Craig has criticised the appointment of Steph Richards, saying ‘it’s as ridiculous as white people speaking for black people’. 🔗 Click the link in the comments to read more

@StrewthQueen Most lesbians have a naive view of TIMs. The ones that actually have the veil lifted tend to go extremely against them or avoid them.

Just a reminder that DOGE failed at every possible level: * At the micro level, they misread, misled and straight up lied about many of the 'savings'. They'd announce '500m saved!' and it would be some contract where the money was 98% already spent and already wasn't being renewed. * At the macro level, they didn't impact spending at all. The government spent more in 2025 than 2024. * At the institutional level, they didn't even convince the GOP that deficits are a problem worth caring about. The GOP only signature bill in 2025 exploded the deficit by trillions of dollars. * At a personal level, Elon got run out of town with his tail between his legs. The most notable public facts about the Cracked Coders are that one of them was a mini-Hitler, one was called 'big balls', and none of them bothered to learn how the government actually works before they set it on fire. They gutted a bunch of important institutions, fired whole departments at random, decimated medical research funding, killed millions of people dependent on USAID, and still failed at every possible level.

@wdwighttheseco1 @HashtagGriswold Michael is pretending that "US citizen children getting school lunches" = illegal immigrants stealing your welfare. Alex answered that a bit down in the thread.

@HashtagGriswold Which form of welfare are you pretending is ok for a majority of illegal immigrants to be stealing from?

additional fun fact: magnolias are actually older than bees and so evolved to close their flowers at night to trap beetles and cover them in pollen, then to open them again in the morning to let them travel to a different tree

Learned a delightful fact today: One of my favorite trees, the Magnolia, is about 100 million years old as a species. Which means dinosaurs smelled and saw them!

i asked my dad if i have ever made him cry in front of me before, because i don’t remember ever seeing him cry. he said, “once.” he told me that when i was 3 years old, he laid out a pen, a dollar, and a toy of some sort in front of me. he wanted to see which one i would pick. i think that a lot of chinese people do that… it represents what you’ll value most when you grow up. like the pen is intelligence, money, is well, money, and the toy is fun. he was just doing it out of curiosity and boredom. it was interesting for him to see which one i’d pick anyway. he said that i just sat there and stared at the items. he sat across from me and waited patiently. according to him, i crawled towards them, he held his breath, and i pushed everything aside and went right into his arms. he didn’t realize that he was one of the choices. and that was the first, and the only time i made him cry.
