Can't overstate this point. In many ways, for good and for ill, the government IS nonprofits - and vice versa.

Great to see @NiskanenCenter devoting some attention to the nonprofit sector, which is an oft-overlooked element of state capacity. In many places, government depends on NGOs to deliver essential services.

It's tragic how necessary and important this is - an indictment of this moment on the American right. Don't tweet at me your rage on every other thing Trump does or says. This is big and serious and important. To hold the line within your own party is much harder than to rage against the bigots across the aisle. Thank you, President Trump, for saying this now.

Trump: From my own personal standpoint, absolutely, because I condemn. I have a daughter who’s married to a Jewish person. My daughter happens to be Jewish, beautiful, three grandchildren are Jewish. I’m very proud of them. I’m very proud of the whole, that whole family. I am the least antisemitic person probably there is anywhere in the world.

She supports government efficiency. She's saying that the Abundance Movement isn't actually working towards that goal, it's working to take the heat off the the wealthy interests who have sought to strangle government capacity.
