As reported earlier by @RobMcLister there are ongoing discussions about allowing borrowers to re-amortize at renewal. OSFI also pondering easing of stress test at December update. Not happening today, but probabilities increase if housing downturn deepens.

@nasmadotali I honestly have no idea why. My agent listed our house very close to what he thought it was worth based on nearby sales. We ended up getting close to asking, slightly over. Had we listed lower, we might have gotten more offers but lower offers.

I’m curious to hear why you think we as agents list properties low with an offer date? Someone made a comment and I was surprised to read that perspective because it’s not at all something that crosses my mind as an agent.

Maybe ultimately you open up spam fighting to your users. If you managed this well, you could harness a lot of energy. Lots of people want to be amateur police. And boy would Google find it hard to follow you down that road.

This may not just be a problem with Google but possibly also the recipe for beating Google. A startup usually has to start with a niche market. Why not try writing a search engine specifically for some category dominated by SEO spam?

@SteveSaretsky What's interesting to me is that inflation is a HIGHLY regressive tax... if anything, conservatives should LOVE inflation, whereas progressives should abhor it!
