@sull @jasonrohrer You realize that your recommendation comes across as slightly anti-human? Immigrants are people, to exactly the same extent as US citizens.

@jasonrohrer There's also the angle of reducing/removing immigrant workforce who more often work below minimum wage. The big picture seems to be a shift to more Americans doing labor jobs as they are plentiful and will be moreso moving forward. But cost of living is root of issue for most.

@thefunkyhermit @allenholub There are worse things to be and to be thought, than "arrogant". One is "dysfunctional". Human systems, no matter how dysfunctional, have rationale, no matter how embarrassing, small-minded, or even secretive. Those benefiting from the dysfunctional system will resist change.

@allenholub Great question. Admittedly. That has happened and I eventually moved on. I at least want to give it a shot before writing the team off and moving on.

What do you do, personally, when you're dumped into a dysfunctional team? I can imagine everything from "take charge and fix the team" to "run in terror." Curious what your strategy was if you were in that situation.
