John Mearsheimer: "It's not just Israeli leaders who support the genocide. You don't see any protest among the Israeli public. It's shocking. It's sickening. You have to file all this under the Nazification of Israel. They are like the Germans under Hitler."

I asked the outgoing NACC Commissioner whether he accepts responsibility for keeping his own CEO in the dark about his ongoing defence work. His answer was that his CEO had no business knowing what he was doing on the side 🤯🤯🤯 They just don't think the rules apply to them!

Noa Tishby is an actress who doubles as an influencer for genocide. I'm a historian who wrote a ph.d dissertation on the subject of Tishby's blockbuster 90 second history lesson. Let's debunk the main claim. Tishby is narrating well-trodden hasbara, namely, that the Roman Emperor Hadrian vengefully erased the name 'Judaea' in 135 CE & replaced it with 'Syria - Palestina' to "sever the Jewish connection." The first thing to ask yourself is why the microscopic focus on one alleged administrative nomenclature change in 135 CE in a 90 second summary of 2000 years of history. But we digress. Tishby presents this erasure story as fact. But it's not a fact. It's a theory at best if not simply mythology. The evidence for the theory is that some inscriptions in the Roman Empire start to refer to the land as Syria Palaestina sometime after 135 CE. That's the closest direct evidence we've got. We don't even know if Hadrian issued an imperial decree or not ... that's already speculation. Instead, "Syria Palaestina" gradually came into use after the Bar Kokhba Revolt was crushed in 135 CE to refer to the area. So happened? Let's assume it was an imperial decree. It's further speculation that the reason for the name change was in of spite the Bar khokhba revolt (what Tishby calls 'the Jewish connection'). Yet, it seems equally plausible that Hadrian changed the name to Syria - Palestina for the same reason he changed Antigonea to Mantinea, or Sepphoris to Diocaesarea. He revered ancient Greece & revived many Greek customs, traditions & names. Or, perhaps Hadrian changed the name to Syria Palaestina because the province was now larger, and Syria Palaestina was a better term to describe what was now a larger administrative district. Or, perhaps there was no imperial decree at all. Perhaps it was a process of dynamic evolution, evidenced by the fact that the names Palaestina & Judaea were both in use before & after the ostensible name change. Indeed, official inscriptions bear the name Judaea from after the alleged change: 1 inscription in Austria referring to a procurator of Judaea; 1 in Ephesus, Turkey, identifying Sextus Erucius Clarus as governor of Judaea . Wouldn't that have been awkward, indeed, blasphemous, if Tishby's erasure theory was true? Other sources like Galen, Celsus, Dio Cassius, Festus, Eutropius, Martianus Capella, Orosius, Epiphanius, & the Epitome de Caesaribus used the term Judaea synonyms ly w Palaestina centuries after “Judaea” had putatively been erased. All those writers spat in the face of Rome? We don't know why 'Judaea' was gradually superseded by the name Syria Palaestina. There are many plausible theories. The one presented as fact by Tishby is not a fact, it's a hypothesis, developed to support the Zionist law of the universe, namely, that everyone, everywhere in all times and all places always has and always will hate the Jews. For sources to all points made above, see pages 103-111 of my dissertation here: academia.edu/34686627/The_I…

What Is Palestine? Palestine is a historical term for a region that has encompassed many territories — originally named by the Romans in 135 AD, when they renamed Judea in an attempt to sever the Jewish connection to the land. Across the centuries, the land was ruled by empire after empire, yet no sovereign country called Palestine ever existed. It began as a name meant to erase a people — and the question today is whether it's still being used to do exactly that. The last episode of "What Is" Season 1 is this Thursday at 11am ET.

‘the old casino mobster class wants its island back’
COMBATE |🇵🇷@upholdreality

A transnational Jewish-Italian mob network centered on Meyer Lansky and Santo Trafficante ran Cuba as a privatized extraction arm of US empire: gambling, laundering, narcotics, prostitution, political bribery. What the US could not openly run on its own border, the syndicate ran for it in Havana. Batista was on a $ 1.28-million-a-month retainer, delivered every Monday at noon. His development bank bankrolled half of every new mob casino. And this was not just gambling. Havana was a key node in the postwar heroin pipeline: Turkish opium, Marseille labs, Havana transshipment, New York distribution. By the late 1960s, that French Connection network supplied most of America’s heroin. Then Castro won. In January 1959 the casinos were smashed, the bosses fled or were detained, and Batista escaped with a fortune estimated around $300 million. The national lottery, once a graft channel, was converted into a housing fund. But the mob did not disappear. It was redeployed. Lansky’s lieutenant Doc Stacher later said Lansky offered to finance Castro’s assassination as early as 1959. By September 1960, the CIA was running the operation directly. The Agency hired Johnny Rosselli, Sam Giancana, and Santo Trafficante. The opening offer was $150,000. The weapon: poison pills from the CIA’s Technical Services Division. The 1975 Church Committee found concrete evidence of at least eight CIA plots against Castro between 1960 and 1965. The same Havana-Miami underworld that lost Cuba in 1959 became useful again as the deniable violence arm of US policy. Of the three mob figures the CIA hired, Giancana was murdered before he could testify to Congress. Rosselli was murdered after he did. Trafficante survived. The continuity is structural, not anecdotal: Tampa, Havana, Miami. Casinos became exile paramilitaries. Exile paramilitaries became lobby infrastructure. Jorge Mas Canosa, a Bay of Pigs veteran and CIA-radio figure, founded the Cuban American National Foundation in 1981 at the suggestion of Reagan's advisors. It was modeled on AIPAC and built to harden Cuba policy permanently. The lobby's most famous operative was Luis Posada Carriles: CIA-trained, Bay of Pigs veteran, Iran-Contra contractor under Oliver North, perpetrator of the 1976 mid-air bombing of Cubana Flight 455 (73 dead) and the 1997 Havana hotel bombings. By 1998, he had publicly named Mas Canosa as his financier. He died free in Miami in 2018. They did not just lobby. They wrote the laws. 1992: Cuban Democracy Act. 1996: Helms-Burton. 2019: Trump activates Title III, letting US claimants sue foreign firms using confiscated Cuban property. Today the legal afterlife of Batista’s Cuba runs through federal court: hotel chains, expropriation claims, embargo law, and Miami political power. Marco Rubio, now Secretary of State, is a product of that machine. When he says “freedom in Cuba,” hear the history underneath it: the old casino mobster class wants its island back

Smotrich demanded the destruction of 10 buildings in Beirut for every explosive drone launched by Hezbollah. This is Nazism. There is an increasingly strong case to make that Israel is now perpetrating two genocides.

"The target was the Gulf before Iran" "Trump is bargaining with Gulf countries in the group call ..stopping the war with Iran in exchange for joining the Abraham Accords .. meaning: either you join the UAE and Bahrain in the Abrahamic agreements under the leadership of Israel, the region's leader, and also pay the costs of the war that was imposed on you, or I strike Iran and Iran destroys you .. and don't think too much .. in both cases, I am the sole heir to your oil and your wealth .. The target was the Gulf from the beginning .. God is predominant."

Danny Citronovitz, former head of the Iran branch in the Military Intelligence Division (Aman): "It is important to emphasize that the agreement crystallizing between Iran and the United States is the lesser of evils compared to the bad alternatives that were laid before Trump: continuing a futile siege, or returning to a confrontation that would endanger American soldiers without guaranteeing any real change in Iranian thinking. The vast gap between the statements issued at the beginning of the campaign and the agreement that appears to be ending it demonstrates the magnitude of its failure. And above all, this war has proven that Benjamin Netanyahu's strategy has collapsed. It is doubtful that any future American president would agree to return to such an adventure. And if Trump himself was not prepared to "finish the job," it is hard to imagine who might do so in the future. Given Israel's inability to act alone without American cover, and in light of the campaign's outcomes, one thing has become clear: Israel's strategy toward Iran has collapsed."

@DaveSharma What Sharma doesn’t mention is that around 60% of the CGT discount benefits go to the top 1%, and roughly 82% go to the top 10%. Meanwhile, the bottom 70% receive only about 5% of the tax savings. It’s overwhelmingly a tax concession for people with entrenched wealth.

🚨After receiving a briefing from a Senior TRUMP Administration Official on the status of the Iran negotiations (someone in the know & not just speculating), I can tell you the following: -USA IS NOT GIVING IRANIANS MONEY FOR NOTHING. All speculation and propaganda to the contrary is false. Some hardline elements of Iran’s govt (IRGC) have pushed fake stories & propaganda to try to kill this negotiation. -Iran deal is NOT done (95%, but still haggling over some language). No deal being signed today. May be a few more days before this is done. -Iran will NOT get any money or sanctions relief up front. -Iran must turn over nuclear stockpile to get anything. USA position is that failure to meet deal commitments means Iran gets nothing. -Long term USA objective is preventing Iran from having nuclear weapon. -Initial deal point is to re-establish free flow of commerce by reopening Strait of Hormuz. Deal should have 2 phases: Step 1 - Open Strait of Hormuz. Give world economy breathing room. Iran agrees to give up enriched uranium. Step 2 - Get the nuclear material turned over. Only then can Iran get sanctions relief. Bottom line: goal is to make a deal that lowers costs for Americans, calms world energy markets, and guarantees that Iranians cannot have a nuclear weapon over the long term. We aren’t there yet. Iran takes forever to get you a response on even small things. But we are close although it still could be a few days. “If we get what we are demanding, this is going to be a historic deal,” SAO says. SAO sounds prepared to do no deal at all if all Iran will do is a “bad deal.” SAO admits deal could fall apart yet. But if a deal is reached, SAO expects very senior USA admin officials to take part in a signing ceremony of some sort. Iran has agreed in principle to the framework but there are still a couple points USA isn’t satisfied with. 95% done. But literally changing words sometimes requires days in Iran’s system. Haggling over language. But USA feels like we have a commitment on nuclear stockpile and on opening Strait of Hormuz. If IRAN doesn’t deliver on commitments, they get nothing. “Iran’s ability to project power is a lot more limited than it was two months ago,” SAO says. “Their industrial base for building ballistic missiles has been substantially destroyed.”

Too on point not to share. This is great, but too bad the Orange Felon’s enablers won’t let him see it. This Australian's reply to #Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect. "Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. 'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth." - Tony Locke

#Syria: the Euphrates Dam, the country's largest reservoir, has reached water levels not seen since 1988. It is now at 97% of its capacity, after receiving 3 billion of m³ in recent weeks, thanks to the unusually heavy rainy season in Syria and Turkey. As a precautionary measure, water releases are being carried out & will reach ~800 m³ per second, which will raise the level of the Euphrates to heights unseen in decades. Authorities warned people days in advance not to swim or go too close to the river banks.
