I was so honored to be able to attend King Charles III’s address to a Joint Session of Congress. Simply put: The King nailed it. His speech was a much-needed morale boost for Congress, as he glowingly praised our nation and highlighted the role Congress plays in our democratic republic. The speech was a terrific combo of wit, humor, history and appreciation. I believe most members of Congress feel better after the speech than they did before. Though I will admit it was a bit odd that the unifying feeling had to come from the King of England… but so be it!

After hearing King George's address to Congress, one cannot help but appreciate articulate, thoughtful communication. His address was neither the oratorical facade of Barack Obama or the ad hoc meanderings of Donald Trump.

It's been 7 months since we had our baby and we're still receiving unexplained hospital bills in the mail. Hardly ever an adequate description of services. Just a QR code to pay online. It feels intentionally confusing and difficult to get answers. We want price transparency.

The most important point to be observed here is the fact that it is always @TheDemocrats who are constantly telling the American people that they "do not have the right" or "how dare you question me." We reserve all the rights! We not only dare to question you, we demand it!

I'm surprised at how broad the negative reaction is toward @CBSNews because of @NoraODonnell. But her shallow petulance has worn thin, and people are sick & tired of performative "reporting" and contrived intelligence. She's becoming a pariah among viewers like Dan Rather did.

I’ve struggled all day to find words enough to describe @weijia and concluded there are none. I know the work she did in the many months before the dinner, her judgment, the thought and effort she put in to get the President to attend (and why), and then seeing the extraordinary professionalism she showed on stage last night when everything was unknown, with her proud elderly parents and young daughter in the room as she was rushed out—and continued reporting. There is no one who could’ve handled any of this as well as Weijia. I’m so proud to call her a colleague and friend.

As I've said, he got that close because Metropolitan Police didn't contain the exterior perimeter. That was their job.

Fire all of Secret Service executive leadership and task Delta operators with overseeing presidential protective detail. Enough is enough. Insane that someone was able to get that far into the building and that close to the president, the line of succession, and a ballroom full of people.

I think questioning the security at an event where a shooter was stopped by security is a little bit insane.

Last night, CNN, TMZ, CBS and others reported the dinner gunman was “confirmed dead.” In fact, he was alive and had not been shot. (Just shot at). At a dinner honoring White House reporting, the rush to be first instead of being accurate was on full display. Speaks volumes.

Both California and Washington, D.C. have extensive gun control laws. Both jurisdictions are among the strictest in the United States. #ColeAllen, from California, was in possession of two firearms while in DC. He was a Democrat. He donated to Kamala Harris's campaign.
