@David_Obinga "Is it too much to ask" is not a question God asks us to ask. We're not given the freedom to demand things at will, like we're their saviours. No, He saves them. Our job is to preach and disciple them. And pray for them like Paul did the Galatians. Let's allow God do His job.

Scriptures teach good works (fruits) as a necessary corollary of salvation. James 2:17, Ephesians 2:8-10. I’d love to see what scriptural precedents you have that negate this order.

@David_Obinga Where in Scriptures have you seen such — starting from the OT texts?

Nigeria right now is one of the worst places on the planet to live in. When will this madness end?

@ImagoTheos Brother, my question was “is it too much to ask for?” You said quote scriptures and I did There’s no time stamp in the aforementioned tweets, neither was there one where individual struggles were denied Where did you get the unbiblical presupposition that you are tackling from?

@David_Obinga What we see in Scripture is a willingness to do God's will confronted by a struggle with certain habits/flaws. To deny this struggle is to be unbiblical. Also, to affix timing and/or intensity to the resultant fruits of salvation is to be unbiblical.

It is possible to confuse outward reform with salvation. Rehab can restrain behavior while leaving the heart untouched. A person may become sober and religious, yet still remain fundamentally unchanged before God. Man does not merely need improvement, he needs regeneration.

We have a really faulty theology in display! First it was on the second coming. Now, it is on the fruit of repentance. We have a long way to go.

Stop gaslighting people No christian growing in sanctification boast about their sin. People struggling with sin humble themselves and avoid things that provide opportunity for them to sin. A christian shouldn't continue in whatever ties them to their previous live actively

Also, whats the criteria for joining a biblical foundation class in a church? Isn’t the person supposed to be saved with fruits of transformation first? Are they awarding believers or anyone that can take the exams? .

Sanctification is both a one-time and a progressive work of the Holy Spirit. She would be transformed if she truly trusts that Jesus has paid for her sins. My problem is, she likes clout and has attributes of a narcissist, so I expect the church to stop giving her airtime and instead mentor and disciple her offline.

It literally says “FOUNDATION” class!!! The fruits you’re looking for, aren’t they a result of a well established foundation? You want someone with cancer to cure themselves first, before they go to the hospital. If they can cure themselves, what is the need for the hospital?
