Over a billion dollars lost on her watch. She found none of it. Someone else always had to.

We cannot forget about Governor Healey’s ex-Deputy Director LaMar Cook. She hired him. She appointed him. He trafficked 21 kilos of cocaine through her state office, had fentanyl and heroin in his desk, and could have put 50,000 doses on the streets of Massachusetts. Governor Healey was adamant that he passed his background check and refused to release it until she had absolutely no choice. When she did it revealed he had a prior gun arrest. She “accidentally” paid him $31,000 on the way out. And she has said almost nothing. That is not incompetence. That is corruption at its finest.

Morning to conservatives in Massachusetts who believe voters deserve real choices in every congressional race, not automatic wins for longtime incumbents. U.S. House districts in Massachusetts currently have challengers lined up for 2026, and one thing really stood out to me. Some districts have candidates stepping up and putting in the work to challenge the status quo. You’ve got Tom Stalcup in the 4th, veteran Gary Grossi in the 3rd, veteran Micah Q. Jones and John Field in the 6th, Walter Grochowski in the 8th, Tyler MacAllister in the 9th, and Shawn Nelson running unenrolled in the 7th against Ayanna Pressley. But then you look at Districts 1, 2, and 5 represented by Richard Neal, Jim McGovern, and Katherine Clark and there still doesn’t appear to be serious opposition lined up. No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, uncontested races are not healthy for democracy. Competition creates accountability, debate, and better representation for voters. Anyone thinking about stepping up in Districts 1, 2, or 5 can run as a write-in candidate in the primary. To get on the November ballot, a write-in candidate needs to receive at least 2,000 votes in the September primary. Every district in Massachusetts needs a challenger, not another automatic Democrat win.

To everyone out here in Massachusetts grinding every day who’s tired of the same priorities coming out of MassDems while hard-working families get absolutely crushed. Rep. Ayanna Pressley is once again leading the charge on H.R. 40, the federal bill pushing for a commission to study reparations for descendants of enslaved people and she’s been very vocal lately saying America owes this debt and that “reparations now” is the goal. Meanwhile back here at home, Beacon Hill Democrats keep telling us the same story: no room for tax relief, no ability to cut waste, and no real answers for the rising cost of living. So, we’re left with sky-high taxes, housing that keeps getting less affordable, schools under pressure, and communities that don’t feel any safer, all while families are being stretched to the limit. Businesses are leaving, young people are moving out, and one-party control just keeps producing the same results. At some point you’ve got to ask the obvious questions: Where exactly is this money supposed to come from? And who is it actually going to? We don’t need more commissions or more political talking points. We need focus on the real problems people deal with every single day. This is exactly what out-of-touch priorities look like.

I was very young for Bicentennial but do remember you couldn’t go a day or move a foot in the Cradle of Liberty without a reminder of our nation’s upcoming 200th birthday. Which was apropos. Today? You’d have no clue that 🇺🇸’s 250th is weeks away while walking around Downtown Boston.
