As the Russian invasion into Ukraine unfolds, we stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine & our Ukrainian-Canadian community. We have raised the flag of Ukraine in front of City Hall to show support for a sovereign and democratic nation under these horrific attacks. 🇺🇦 /1

@CathRCox We are waiting for DTI to finish their work in the area — then completing the bike trails will be a top priority.

@Dawn_Moncton the bridge is not finished until the bike trail is connected. Lots of people biked and walked the loop lifting their bikes over the concrete barrier.

Atlantic Canada’s top six cities — Halifax, Charlottetown, St. John’s, Fredericton, Moncton & Saint John — account for about 47% of the region’s population, up from 40% in 2000. We project their share will exceed 50% by 2030. Read more @ apec-econ.ca/publications/v… #CdnEcon #CdnPoli

In Canada COVID-19 infections are at 281 per 100,000 residents with a fatality rate of 8.2%. In NB a result like that would have meant 2,194 infections so far and 180 deaths. Instead the province is at 166 cases and 2 deaths. Remarkable really. 📸: Alex Vietinghoff

Municipalities are working hard to keep people safe and services running. But revenues are bottoming out and they can’t run deficits. So #CDNmuni need urgent help to keep our water running, garbage collected, vulnerable people safely sheltered, and so much more. 1/3
