We’ve successfully completed our historic aid mission in Gaza after delivering 187 million free meals directly to civilians in Gaza. “At a critical juncture, we are proud to have been the only aid operation that reliably and safely provided free meals directly to Palestinian people in Gaza, at scale and without diversion.” — GHF Executive Director John Acree Read our press release: ghf.org/ghf-statement-…

Threatening to target power plants and other non-military targets is not strength. If those words become orders to destroy civilian infrastructure with no valid military purpose, it’s hard to see how they would not violate the laws of armed conflict. America leads best with strength, discipline, and professionalism. Illegal orders to make civilians suffer would be a black mark on our military and our country.

@realBrandonGill Something tells me that if you had been in Congress in 1868, you would have voted against the 14th amendment because you would not have wanted any non-white children to have equal rights.

Something tells me that when Senator Jacob Howard wrote 'subject to the jurisdiction thereof' in the 14th amendment, his intention wasn't that pregnant Guatemalans could cross into Texas, give birth, and have a child with the same rights as you and I.

Not buying it. Who are we to say how another country should develop? We spent billions on Gaza, they tore up the land, destroyed the piping and created more ways to destroy themselves &others.

REFLECTIONS OF AN AMERICAN HUMANITARIAN WORKER WITH 15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN AFGHANISTAN: In recent years, I managed a humanitarian project funded by BHA in one of the most remote regions of Central Afghanistan. That program provided life-saving medical assistance to hard to reach villages with no access to health care. As part of this work, I met a woman at our mobile health clinic that walked three days through the dead of winter to find treatment for her children. Many of them were suffering from severe malnourishment and pneumonia. She had one child die earlier that winter because the government-run clinic in her province had no medicines. The health care we provided saved the lives of her children. We didn’t solve all of Afghanistan’s problems, but we made a difference in lives of ordinary Afghans. When USAID terminated all humanitarian funding this week to Afghanistan, they cut off those health programs that save the lives of children. They stopped critical food aid that ensures that women living in rural regions can feed their families. They cut off aid that provides safe, reliable drinking water to communities suffering from drought. They cut off temporary employment programs that ensure young people have a basic income. One may ask: why does America care whether Afghan people have food, water and medicine? Besides the humanitarian imperative, there are several compelling reasons: 1. When Afghan communities can’t access enough food or clean drinking water, the people must leave their villages and migrate to find a livable situation. Some may move to neighboring communities, causing conflict. Others will leave for neighboring countries, creating political tensions with Pakistan and Iran. And many more may migrate to the West. Cutting humanitarian aid will fuel more mass migration, including many undocumented migrants coming to Europe and North America looking for jobs. 2. When Afghan youth cannot secure basic livelihoods or earn enough income to survive, there are increased risks that they may join armed opposition groups for economic reasons. Evidence shows that ISIS pays substantial sums to young men who are economically destitute. This is not to suggest that Afghan men believe in these ideologies, but when facing the prospect of watching their families starve, many may feel like they have no choice. Cutting humanitarian aid will fuel recruitment of more young Afghan men to participate in terror groups simply as a means to survive. 3. As the Afghan economy weakens, there is significant potential of a return to increased opium cultivation by farmers and smugglers. Humanitarian aid initiatives have helped provide farmers with alternatives to growing poppies. But without that support, many will return to this lucrative industry. Heroin produced in Afghanistan ends up in markets all over the world, including the US. Ending humanitarian aid in Afghanistan will damage efforts to curb the international drug trade and will even put American lives at risk. We don’t have to guess what happens when the U.S. abandons the Afghan people. After the Soviet pullout in 1988, the U.S. all but eliminated its support, as well. The result was the 1990’s: a brutal civil war, and political upheaval that ultimately resulted in the 9/11 attacks and 20 years of international conflict. The bottom line is this: Cutting humanitarian aid to Afghanistan does not make America safer or stronger. It does not provide some supposed counter to the Taliban. It only hurts the Afghan people in ways that will place the entire region and world at greater risk. Humanitarian aid in Afghanistan is a force for good. I hope that we will soon return to a policy that understands that there are meaningful ways to support the Afghan people, including women and children, while still prioritizing American interests. And I hope that we will see the value of America continuing to have a voice in one of the most challenging regions of the world.

@EricLDaugh Is there actually going to be…a library? Or have all the documents been shredded or sold or stuffed a Mar-a-Lago bathroom? For some reason associating Donald Trump with a library seems like an oxymoron. He can’t even read his daily briefings.

It’s performative to have this debate when your political party is taking steps to actively harm Afghan women: shutting down nearly all humanitarian aid to Afghanistan that helps the most impoverished women and girls and systematically targeting Afghans who have come to US as immigrants and refugees. Spare us your hearings. When you decide to enact policies that support Afghan women, let us know.

Chairman @RepBrianMast: Since Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Taliban has banned women and girls from getting the education they deserve. We were honored to have three Afghan students receiving education in America join us today as we debate this important issue of the treatment of women under the oppressive regime.

I would argue that blindly accepting a huge government bureaucracy spending hundreds of billions of dollars spent on a national extrajudicial police force that is unaccountable and lacks basic transparency is unamerican. And deeply unconservative. I’m a registered Republican. I want small government accountable for to people, not an imperial Presidency that if the office holder were a Democrat, you’d be tweeting your anger.

As I went through the TSA checkpoint at the Indy Airport today, I asked one of the dedicated agents how his team was doing while the Department of Homeland Security is unfunded. He responded: “We are losing people left and right. People have bills to pay.“ Democrats need to come to the table to help us fund DHS and take care of the hardworking men and women of TSA, Border Patrol, Coast Guard, and other important agencies and offices who help keep us safe.

@KatieMiller Why bother even having laws if we have an election every 4 years and those elected can ignore those laws and do whatever they want? The judge lays out the legal justification according to statute. Just because you win an election doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want.

Mohammad Nazeer Paktiawal, a criminal illegal alien, entered the U.S. under the Biden administration’s Operation Allies Refuge in August 2021 and provided NO RECORD of military service. His criminal history includes arrests for fraudulent use of food stamps and theft. His parole expired on August 20, 2025. ICE arrested him on March 13, 2026. During intake at the Dallas Field Office, he complained of shortness of breath and chest pain and was IMMEDIATELY transported by EMS to Parkland Hospital. After treatment, his condition worsened the next day, and hospital medical staff initiated CPR. At approximately 9:10 a.m. CDT, a physician pronounced him deceased following multiple resuscitation efforts. No one in ICE custody is denied access to medical care. ICE provides comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health services, including access to appointments and 24-hour emergency care, from the moment an alien enters custody.

But you didn’t answer my question. And the reason for that is that the church in America is consumed with materialism and vanity - whitewashed tombs who measure their faith by repeating the right doctrinal line - and do next to nothing to serve the poor. Build giant buildings to hold rock concerts all you want. But you’ve missed the Gospel of the poor. Would it be better for the church to start acting like Jesus and truly serve those in their communities - yes. You don’t like government filling the void? Then the church needs to fill it instead. By the way, also find me somewhere scripture where it says it’s inherently evil for governments to use shared resources to serve those in need… in fact, Leviticus 19 and Acts 4 challenge the notion that shared resources shouldn’t be used to help the poor and the foreigner. The Gospel of Adam Smith isn’t the Gospel of Christ.

@DayneCurry @WilliamWolfe I think it’s important to donate/volunteer outside of what you give to your church. A lot of what you give to the church does go to salary. Sometimes they have specific projects to donate to though, like building housing for needy was a recent big one in my area.

@DayneCurry @WilliamWolfe There’s a difference between being taxed and charity. The government taking your money and doing whatever they want with it is not the same as you willfully giving to the needy and hungry.
