Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

Protesters besieged the Nigerian Embassy in Tehran. Iranian lawmakers went as far as threaten Nigeria with reprisals. In December 2015 Iran lived up to its threat with a series of cyber attacks targeting government websites across Nigeria. The Lagos State Government website lagosstate.gov.ng was taken over by Iranian hackers protesting against the killing of Shia militia's. They deleted the entire content of the Lagos State website and replaced it with this message : " In the name of God, message to Nigerian Government and State Sponsors of Terrorism(USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar): They are killing Muslims and innocent. people because of your dirty money.'' They didn't stop there. They attacked the website of Nigeria's Court of Appeal. deleted all the content and information of the site and replaced it with the following messages. ''Hey Nigeria Government, you killed thousands of Muslims and specially Zakzaky’s family too. You are all terrorists. You are all murderers, God damn you Allahu maulana wala mula lakum,''

One of the problems of Muslims is that they don't condemn any injustice or harm done by Muslims against Muslims. When Israel strikes Hamas leaders in Qatar, the whole Arab nations condemn Israel. In fact, they called for a meeting of all Arab nations in Doha, and they condemned Israel in the strongest terms. Iran has been firing missiles at 6 Arab nations since the war started, but you don't see see strong condemnation from all Arab nations. Non called for emergency meetings over Iran. Islam seems to permit sin or evil against fellow Muslims. It's only when infidels sin or commit evil against Muslims that it draws the line. China and Russia do not have the power projection capabilities to challenge the U.S. in a conventional conflict over Iran or in other regions far beyond their own borders. Logistics is king in warfare. Neither country can easily project sufficient power far from home. Besides arms transfer and intelligence sharing their is little they can do.
