JUST IN: Brentwood Police say 'Reacher' star Alan Ritchson acted in self-defense, say no charges will be filed. The development comes as new footage appears to show Ritchson's neighbor blocking the road while he was on his motorcycle. "After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," said the Brentwood Police Department. "Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense." "Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges." The case has been closed.

One compromise/ reform that could end the standoff of DHS funding: ICE agents henceforth won’t wear masks in any situation where other law enforcement officers don’t wear masks, courthouses, the streets of our cites, etc. Masks are reserved for the lawless zone along the border where the cartels dominate.

When TSA has been tested, it has failed to stop up to 80 percent of weapons smuggled through security. TSA to this day has never actually prevented a terrorist attack. There is not a single documented case of a terror plot foiled by TSA. On top of that, TSA was formed in response to 9-11, but 9-11 was not a failure of airport security. Airport security had basically nothing to do with it. So while this stand off over TSA funding continues, keep in mind that the agency shouldn't exist and is historically terrible at its job. We should privatize airport security again. Then it can't be used as a bargaining chip by politicians.

@greta for subtractive color, e.g., color printing, you can make blue from cyan but not the reverse. You can make red from magenta, but not the reverse.

Whatever happened to blue? Or blue green? Why is it “cyan” on printers?

It really is bizarre. Most of my friends don't have FSD (or a Tesla). And it is the single biggest lifestyle difference between us. They drive their cars. My car drives me. They don't get how much--even at its current capability-level--the product changes life-feel. FSD truly is a mass luxury product. That it is still so narrowly enjoyed is mind-bending.

If you are in Houston, there is now a 4 hour long line at Terminals C/E for TSA. For a typical flight from Houston to Chicago, here's the current likely breakdown: 1 hour drive from Houston home to airport 1/2 hour shuttle from airport parking lot to airport 4 hours at TSA 1/2 hour at gate waiting to get on plane 1/2 hour boarding, taxi to runway, and get in queue 3 hour flight IAH to ORD 1/2 hour taxi to terminal and deplane 1/2 hour get bags and an Uber 1 hour drive to hotel in downtown Chicago That is nearly 12 hours door to door. Or you can get in your Tesla, push the self driving button, adjust to Mad Max, and get there in about 16-18 hours. You're also much less likely to be in the New York Post having run into a fire truck.

Regardless of what happens in Europe and the U.S., the world is moving to EVs. There is nothing that western automakers can do to reverse this trend, and geopolitical risk in oil will only accelerate it. Either get good at EVs, or wither away.
