Again, I thought that was plausible, until I saw the wall of the guy who replied with a meme that I first thought was directed at me, but turns out was directed against you. Another major influencer had shared a criticism by pointing out that to a white interviewer he bragged that their book was so fantastic that sailed through hundreds of pages in a few hours despite not being a fast reader. To whites, I’m really smart, to Blacks, I’m dumb like you. Obviously unconscious bias, but very real. Nobody thinks Bernie Sanders is a closet klansman, but he could never culturally connect with Black voters and that killed his national campaigns. There’s a risk of that for Newsom, besides the state’s slow motion financial collapse with every billionaire fleeing to avoid a Billionaire wealth tax on unrealized gains that will destroy the tech scene of Silicon Valley.

This right here. Contrary to the original reporting, Newsom's audience was Buttigieg levels of whiteness.

I guess that’s a plausible interpretation, but to political operatives, Democratic Presidential candidates go to Atlanta to reach the elites of Black America, not to reach Georgia Democrats. He went there hoping to speak to a Black audience without that being the headline. It’s subtle. No one’s saying he hates African-Americans; the allegation is subconscious prejudice. Biden’s comment was even more blatant.

If he was speaking to a room full of professors, then it would be offensive. This one is just not.

I had zero issues with the Obamas visiting team USA basketball, just like I had zero issues with Patel and Trump congratulating the USA hockey team. Presidents are supposed to support their athletes at the Olympics.

This is Atlanta Georgia, talking to a black audience (yes they are black, you can see them on the video), and a black host, in a city of 46% black, one of the blackest cities in the US aside from Mississippi cities, Memphis, Baltimore.
