@DrVivianS Thank you. This was the same woman who was 'accidentally' put on Ritalin. LTC got paid $6K a month to take care of her. If they provided me a fraction of that, I could have hired help to keep her at home. #LTCnightmares

Hospital said able to toilet self. LTC said incontinent. Mom was put in a brief, changed every 8 hours. Mom held her urine because dementia made her unable to understand the concept of wearing a brief. Mom died of urosepsis after only being in LTC for 5 months. @DrVivianS

@BusyBurn At home Mom was able to toilet herself. Moved into LTC and was assessed as incontinent. Chart says her brief was changed every 8 hours. Due to Dementia she did not know she was wearing a brief so she held her urine. Died 5 months later. Cause of death: Urosepsis.
