After the Japanese and English-speaking communities became more connected, it cured the decades-long illusion that Japanese people are always polite.

@flow_singer @niggatron_001 @Eng_china5 The country who did not hide anything (good or bad) is the better one. At least they are truthful and have no ulterior motive unlike the country who behave differently in public and private. The later is the dangerous one and cannot be trusted.

I have nothing against Asian women, but IMO, they ruin the social scene of any city once they become a majority. The overall vibe becomes far less fun, way more judgmental, and it turns into a giant Country Club. A lot of this is cultural, Asians grow up in strict households where schools you get into and the high status career you have matters. The thing is, this all gets projected onto social life. It's never just fun interactions or being a human, it's just a high-pressure job interview.

@DaddyEtienne @kidkaido "She just won a 75% political mandate." Was that before or after the war on Iran and before or after this visit?

She just won a 75% political mandate. And is replacing Gulf energy for American energy. The Hormuz threat can only be used once before people hedge against future blackmail. Lloyd's of London should not have closed the Straits. Now London have lost their chokehold over global oil supply.

I am a Japanese citizen, and I oppose the attacks on Iran carried out by the U.S. government and Israel. I cannot forgive the tragedy in which American missiles took the lives of so many innocent children. Prime Minister Takaichi told President Trump, “Only Donald can bring peace and prosperity to the world,” but I do not share that view. Unlike Prime Minister Takaichi, the majority of the Japanese people oppose the U.S. government’s attack on Iran and hope for an end to the war as soon as possible. @oyamada_maki

Guangxi gets a 4-day official holiday for the Zhuang ethnic group in March. Because in China, minorities have their own holidays, and these are respected under the law.

@BustlingBeijing @SecretFire79 Yes, that time was the Taiping Rebellion. One of the reason the Chinese people had a negative perception of Christianity even though the rebellion was by a "Christian's" cult, not the real followers of Christ. Their leader claimed himself to be the brother of Jesus.

Saint Agatha Lin, born in 1817 in the village of Machang in the Guizhou province of China, was a devoted Catholic martyr who gave her life for her faith. Raised by fervent Christian parents, Agatha was baptized just three days after her birth. Her childhood was marked by a deep commitment to God, which only grew stronger as she matured. At the age of 25, Agatha took a vow of virginity, consecrating herself fully to God's service. As a young woman, Agatha moved to Guiyang to pursue her religious education and later became a catechist and headmistress. She was instrumental in spreading the Christian faith to the Miao people, a marginalized group in China, teaching them both the faith and practical skills. Her dedication to her mission and her ability to speak the local dialect allowed her to influence many people. In 1858, during a time of intense persecution of Christians in China, Agatha was arrested along with other believers. Despite the danger and suffering, she remained steadfast in her faith. She was sentenced to death and beheaded on January 28, 1858, for her refusal to renounce her Christian beliefs. Pope Pius X beatified Agatha Lin in 1909, and Pope John Paul II canonized her in 2000. She is remembered not only for her martyrdom but also for her extraordinary dedication to teaching and spreading the faith.

@Calcijp @simongerman600 Qatar, Oman & UAE supply 11% of Japan's LNG needs and all 3 countries need to ship it through the Hormuz Straight. You can't ship LNG through pipelines.

@DeStud66 @simongerman600 No. Australia had the largest share of Japan's LNG imports at 39.7%, followed by Malaysia with 14.8% and Russia with 8.9%.

@simongerman600 This chart is not accurate. It only shows the transit rate of crude oil, not energy. Japan already gets a significant amount of its energy from LNG.

Kim Iverson’s Sinophobic erasure of Chinese New Year is part of the erasure of Chinese culture and has deep American roots. Why did Japan stop celebrating Chinese New Year? “The change was designed to modernize, distance Japan from Chinese influence, and standardize the calendar for trade and public service salaries [to be in line with the Americans].” The AMERICANS regime changed Japan beginning with the massacre of Japanese people who were pro-ChIna from 1852 until 1867. That was when the Americans installed the 14 year old Meiji puppet emperor and created the myth of the Meiji Restoration. And this is the reason Japan no longer get celebrates Chinese New Year. And this is why you have so many people of Japanese descent in Brazil. They were fleeing the American pogroms. You don’t leave your homeland for places unknown, never to return without reason. The Japanese left Japan because the Americans made living in Japan a horror when they decided to turn it into a war machine. HISTORY MATTERS. Knowing your real enemy matters.
