Meet Eti Aggarwal, a Middle Tennessee resident who works as a senior software design engineer for the North American division of Schneider Electric. Eti Aggarwal moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, in 2015 through a dependent immigration status tied to her husband’s employer. She later applied and was accepted to Middle Tennessee State University in order to obtain a master’s degree in computer science. While in school, she legally transitioned from a dependent status to an F-1 student visa, which allowed her to pursue corporate field training. In 2016, Schneider Electric offered her an internship, a role that eventually converted into full-time employment and a subsequent corporate visa sponsorship. Since then, she has given birth to one son on American soil, which means he received birthright citizenship. As a senior software design engineer, Aggarwal is responsible for full-lifecycle coding, database management, and cloud integration. None of these responsibilities require rare technical skills. Millions of American software engineers possess the exact same skill set. In fact, her expertise centers on Microsoft systems that are among the most widely adopted entry software ecosystems in the U.S. The only unique value she brings to the role is experience, which she primarily gained at Schneider Electric. Although her total compensation package remains private, conservative estimates place her salary in the $180,000 range. This estimated figure does not include additional perks or benefits. By contrast, the average salary for a Tennessean with the same educational background ranges between $100,000 to $140,000. In 2016, when Aggarwal joined Schneider Electric, the unemployment rate for American citizens who had recently graduated from college with a computer science degree hovered in the 5% range. The unemployment rate for recent college graduates in 2026 with comparable degrees has risen to more than 7% nationally. A computer science degree was once widely viewed by American citizens as a golden ticket to immediate employment. That view has changed given the influx of foreign workers like Aggarwal in recent years. She represents a startling trend of foreign workers utilizing student visas to secure jobs in corporate America instead of returning to their homelands, all while unemployment has steadily risen for recent U.S. computer science graduates. Why should Americans care about whether Schneider Electric hires international students? Over the last decade, it has directly secured more than $7.65 million in Tennessee taxpayer funds. It also continuously benefits from lucrative statutory incentives, including reduced utility rates. It also benefits indirectly from taxpayers through partnerships with organizations like the Tennessee Titans. In March 2025, Schneider Electric finalized a five-year contract with the Titans as the official energy management partner for the new Nissan Stadium, scheduled to open in 2027. The $2.1 billion project is backed by one of the largest public sports subsidies in U.S. history. More than $1.25 billion is being funded publicly by Tennessee taxpayers. The case of Aggarwal is not just about one engineer's career path. Her career highlights a systemic flaw in how public resources are distributed. When Tennessee taxpayers pour millions of tax dollars into a corporation, they do so with the expectation that those investments will uplift the domestic workforce. By bypassing a growing pool of qualified, unemployed American graduates in favor of international pipelines, these corporations break that unwritten social contract. If corporate America expects taxpayers to bankroll growth, then American taxpayers have every right to demand that local workers are hired first.

Jake Paul and Ryan Clark got into a debate over his goal of playing in the NFL 👀 🗣️ “I bench more than all of you. I squat more than you. I’m faster than you. Words are cheap… It can’t be that hard.” 🗣️ “The audacity… You’re 29 and never stepped on a pro football field.”

@champabayceo **Years— not money. Learn to read. Also, only god knows how they are getting to that 50m number. My guess is incentives. Franchise QB’s don’t play on 2 year deals at 31 big guy.

Baker Mayfield, I was on your side at first but hearing the fact that the Bucs were gonna give the 50 million you’ve been asking for?, yet you reject it because you want more guaranteed money?. Spare me the fucking champagne problems buddy, there are people who are struggling rn.

Mahershala Ali is calling out Marvel Studios for not making #Blade, which was officially announced at #ComicCon in 2019: “I’ve been doing this professionally for pushing 30 years now, and one thing I’ve learned is that what is for you is for you and what is not is not. For whatever reason, that project is not for me. If they wanted to do it, we would’ve done it. So I have to move on, and I have moved on. Again, you had me under contract, they have billions of dollars, if they wanted to do the movie, we would’ve done the movie. So we’re not doing the movie.” wp.me/pc8uak-1lHAIm

"It's insane that Tampa will not invest 3 years, at 50 some-odd million, in a quarterback that is a franchise quarterback ... especially when the guy went out and played hurt last year." @JRodgers11 agrees with Baker Mayfield for feeling slighted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 🗣️

@JoeA_NFL They can’t. They’d be instantaneously irrelevant like they were for 15 yrs before Tom Brady graced em and they actually spent $ to surround him with known talent. Now it’s “win with 3rd rd picks” no spending, 🦖 HC. Baker officially ended their SB honeymoon. Good

Baker Mayfield’s stats over the last 3 years… 12,000+ passing yards 95 touchdowns 37 INTs It’s pretty wild the Bucs can’t workout a deal for their most important player who’s still got plenty of juice in the tank
Ari Meirov@MySportsUpdate

#Bucs QB Baker Mayfield says he felt “disrespected” and “undervalued” by the contract offers he received. He believes he’s a franchise QB, says he’s going to have a big year, and that the team is going to pay for it in the end. Here’s everything Mayfield said. He was very upfront and honest: (🎥 @Buccaneers)

@ContextCapper He’s under contract and we can franchise him next year . We lowballed him because unless he wants to give us a hometown discount there’s no motivation to actually move yet . Especially the way the team crumbled down the stretch last season. Smart business.

Baker is better than comps such as Jordan Love ($55 million per), Lawrence ($55 million) and Purdy ($53 million). Why Bucs tried to low ball after getting him for bargain bin money is telling. They think Bradys grow on trees after hitting lotto once.

@indy_sooner @andrew_kalman @_willcompton Stats arent everything but I see your point. Mike already has a ring. He went to a situation he knew he could ball out, cant do that with a shit qb. Purdy throws with anticipation and touch. Perfect for big mike

@June1NB Gonna need more than that dawg. It’s disrespectful to Neto AND Reid. We’re getting Bodine/Flewelling + Flemming + Gray + Johnson at least. You get 2 top 100 guys with Neto alone and at least 1 with Reid. Both them in a package and you’re getting a huge return. Yours is a joke
