FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 25, 2026 Statement Thanking Harry Wait for His Commitment to Election Integrity Today, we thank Harry Wait for his commitment to election integrity—and for having the courage to act when others chose to stay silent. While a jury has delivered its verdict, the larger issue remains unresolved: should citizens be punished for exposing potential weaknesses in the systems that govern them? Harry Wait forced that question into the spotlight. At a time when concerns about election processes are often dismissed or ignored, he took action to test the system. Whether one agrees with his methods or not, his actions sparked a conversation that cannot be ignored. What followed raises serious concerns. Even after the verdict, there were efforts to keep him from speaking publicly—efforts that required the court to intervene and lift a gag order. That alone should give pause to anyone who values transparency. More troubling is how his intent was characterized. A deliberate act meant to draw attention to a potential issue was reduced to something far less significant, stripping away the broader context entirely. But intent matters. And so does accountability. This case is not just about one man—it’s about whether difficult questions are allowed to be asked, or quietly pushed aside. As sentencing approaches on May 27, we encourage the public to stay informed and engaged. Because truth doesn’t lose its importance just because it makes people uncomfortable.
