@SandyofCthulhu I argued with a teacher once about a math problem and she ridiculed me until she figured out I was correct. However, she had the grace to apologize to me in front of the class. I’ve never forgotten that.

This makes me really sad. How do these people get into education? I remember as a 6 year old arguing that daddy-long-legs (A) weren't spiders and (B) weren't venomous. (I was a nerdy kid.) The teacher shot me down and I was so deeply offended. But that was way more egregious than what we see below.

@reddit_lies I had our youngest child at 39. It was “geriatric”. That kid is so fantastic and keeps us young! I’m almost 60 now and he’s at college. What a blessing he is to our family.

She killed his kid. He divorced her.

Texas people...have you had your property tax go down at all in the past 5 years? I am sick of the BS @GregAbbott_TX is spinning on this. Something substantial needs to be done about cities hiking up the rates and wiping out any benefits of the homestead exemption.

@abigailsolutely @AniseNot This is so true. My youngest got chubby so we put him into karate and he started swim team. He shot up to 6’7 and is so thin I can’t find clothes for him.

@AniseNot One thing to keep in mind that it is normal to put on some extra weight right before a growth spurt. I’m sure that’s not what you’re talking about but some chub is necessary for growth. Most tall men / women had periods of that when young.

Laid off today after 18 years. Blessed to be at a company for that long. Not sure what the future holds but God is good and He’ll provide. Still a gut punch though.

@bethanyshondark My daughter was 5 and it was rough. She wouldn’t eat popsicles or basically anything. She was a skinny child and lost weight which was scary.

I can’t believe tonsil surgery used to be a routine, not for very good reasons kind of surgery. It’s absolute torture for parents and kid alike.
