The duty to consult Indigenous Peoples is not a box-checking exercise. It is a constitutional obligation rooted in the honour of the Crown, in the treaties that underpin this country, and in the fundamental recognition that First Nations are sovereign rights holders. Any leader willing to disregard the duty to consult in pursuit of separatist politics is not defending Alberta, they are undermining the rule of law, dishonouring treaty relationships, weakening reconciliation, and attacking the very foundations upon which Canada was built.

This pt died alone with no one there to report it. The HCWs are devastated and have literally been begging for help to improve the severe overcrowding. Meanwhile the Premier, who loves speaking publicly on separation issues, won’t even talk about the state of our HC system 4/4

And finally, Danielle Smith’s position on the issue is costing her. She’s down 17 points in favorability. A full 20 points below both Jason Kenney and Thomas Lukaszuk. Take that in! /fin

🚨BREAKING!!!🚨 The UCP are literally defunding the courts! As the UCP throws money to support a separatist referendum through the courts… Alberta will no longer pay the people who type the court transcripts in criminal court (court reporters) #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

They all say X to get elected and immediately pivot to Y.... Politicians are becoming more flagrant and acting with great impunity. We need to laws in place... or barring laws, the public must insist, that politicians leave office when they lie. If you're a liar & a thief: bye, bye.

🔴 İsrailli orkestra şefi Ilan Volkov, Londra’da İsrail’in Gazze’ye yönelik saldırısını kınadı.

Friday evening a man was brought into the Royal Alex Emergency Department by EMS. He was left in the waiting room. Hours later he was found in his seat dead. The government hasn’t told anyone. Acute Care Alberta hasn’t responded to requests for more information.

This referendum violates treaty rights, it would cost Albertans hundreds of millions of dollars, and is now tied to serious public safety concerns thanks to the largest data breach in Alberta’s history. Accept the court’s decision. Nobody is above the law – certainly not this Premier or this separatist government

Corb Lund is part of a six-generation Alberta ranching family. He's received messages questioning if he's a real Albertan. Chatted about that, his petition's progress with a month to go, an underwhelming meeting with Danielle Smith, and why he thinks Lougheed would support him.

“All they're trying to do is discredit me”— @CorbLund frustrated after being branded a “crazy leftist” over his coal mining petition. He says volunteers like him—making nothing from the fight—care more about Alberta than an Australian billionaire. LISTEN:traffic.megaphone.fm/CORU6140579923…

Rath represented the Sturgeon Lake Cree for 14 YEARS. When their claim neared settlement, he suddenly switched them to a contingency fee….then claimed $28.57M!!! A court ruled it unenforceable & ordered him to pay $235K for conduct “not in their instructions or interest.”

Taking Alberta Forward, We Stand With #Canada!
Q: Has Elections Alberta ever NOT used paper ballots? A: No. Paper ballots have always been used in every Alberta election — even when tabulators are present. I worked as a scrutineer. We hand-counted ballots, and tabulators were used only to speed up the process so every vote counts accurately and quickly. This excellent post from Elections Alberta directly counters the disinformation coming from the Government of Alberta, which has repeatedly suggested that Alberta uses tabulators to cast votes. That is simply not true. There is no legitimate reason to remove tabulator counts and then impose restrictive timelines for counting votes. This looks like an attempt to use the new powers in Bill 14 (and more) to override the independence of Elections Alberta — an arm of government that should remain separate from the executive. Combined with the recent gerrymandering of electoral boundaries, I’m left wondering more than ever: Who does this government actually work for? Taking Alberta Forward
Elections Alberta@ElectionsAB

Q: Has Elections Alberta ever NOT used paper ballots? A: No, paper ballots have always been used for voting, even with tabulators. Every election in Alberta's history has used paper ballots and been retained and available in case of a recount.

Yikes. 😬 Yesterday, Jeffrey Epstein’s former accountant testified under oath that Epstein’s estate paid a settlement to one of the women who accused Donald Trump of raping her as a minor — after Epstein had died. That would end any other president instantly. But the press? Barely a whisper. 🤐 #EpsteinFiles #Trump #Accountability #MediaFailure

Breaking today: David Parker is officially not cooperating with Elections Alberta’s investigation into the Centurion Project voter list scandal. Chief Electoral Officer Gordon McClure confirmed it himself: Parker has refused to sign a statutory declaration confirming he will comply with the cease-and-desist order regarding the list of electors. Let that sink in. The cease-and-desist required Parker to sign a statement declaring he would stop using the official voter list, which contains the names and addresses of close to three million Albertans. He won’t sign it. Elections Alberta, the RCMP, and Alberta’s privacy commissioner are all separately investigating the leak. Three separate investigations and the guy at the centre of it is stonewalling all of them. This isn’t even Parker’s first rodeo. He and Take Back Alberta were fined a combined $120,000 in February 2025 for a series of election law violations related to the 2023 provincial election, including failing to report fundraising income, circumventing advertising limits, and knowingly making a false statement to the chief electoral officer. And his response to all of this? He called Elections Alberta an “evil institution” and said he would “not rest until everyone responsible for the lawfare being waged out of that den of evil are brought to justice.” The personal data of nearly three million Albertans is potentially still in the hands of someone who refuses to confirm he’s stopped using it. This is someone treating the law as optional when it applies to him. At what point will there actually be consequences?
