The Talmud basically says “yeah nothing supernatural in our religion worked anymore after Jesus died for some reason” and then Jews still deny Christ’s divinity.

I saw The Passion in theaters in Lent 2004. I was a Catholic seminarian. A local Baptist pastor offered his bus to drive a group of us to see it. It had only been out a few days. It’s an amazing film and the take below — specifically in regard to its violence — is frankly just really weird to me. Of course it’s violent. It’s probably much less violent than the reality.

I saw this movie wildly late in life for someone raised evangelical (my parents were NOT happy at the fact that youth group kids were watching it). So I saw it in my late 20s for a class with @IanNelsonMills and my husband. It remains one of the strangest film experiences of my

@aknox92 @SandyofCthulhu everyone loves the idea of "cool bargain for power" gameplay but implementation always gives them lots of bargain in exchange for level-appropriate power

My weird suggestion: Warlocks shouldn't have spell slots. Instead, they should bargain with their patron for each and every spell. When that spell is cast, it's gone forever until they can "reload" it from their patron. Example: Warlock "I want the Finger of Death!" Dark Mistress "You must cut off one finger joint and give it to me." Next time he wants Finger of Death, it's another finger joint unless he can talk Dark Mistress into something different. Weaker spells would require weaker sacrifices.

@luinalaska A large portion of the populace goes about their lives with the presumption that everyone else is obligated to care more for their continued existence than they themselves are. Protest techniques? Being ornery with the police? Jaywalking in traffic? Consequences are for normies

Now that my X account has been banned in India by the Indian government, I am finally ready to release our Texas Indian-Invasion documentary. Thank you @PMOIndia . I no longer have to worry about infinite Indians mass-reporting my account. I win.

#Chiquinews #Japon #Mexico #VidaEnJapon

I actually think there is nothing wrong with nepotism in private life. People should be allowed to give their kids jobs. Where it becomes a real problem is in Government.

not just a gun there are many that believe a man is not properly dressed to leave the house without some basic tools it is only responsible to carry A gun is among them, but a small medical kit is also becoming highly stressed. "If you can make a hole, you should be able to patch a hole" basic tools as well, which is why leatherman's have become so popular, but in the old day it would have just been a pocket knife A pen a pad of paper is also generally considered to be essential, and some way to make fire, and some way to make light The thought is you never know when you may be called on to defend others, or yourself, and you must be prepared to do so at all times... This is particularly strong in veteran circles. Many of the items are items we were required to carry while on duty, and it becomes ingrained

@GrumpyMontanan @plzbepatient That is a pretty compelling argument in favor of air travel, if you don't get peaced to death in the process (and the astronauts are willing to show up and man the grope line)

The framers actually did warn against foreigners being born here, being granted citizenship, and voting in their own interests. And they warned of that well before mass migration by plane could even be conceptualized
Gregg Nunziata@greggnunziata

"The framers of the 14th amendment could never have anticipated birth tourism and mass illegal immigration" is the Right's version of "the framers of the 2nd Amendment could never have anticipated assault rifles and high capacity magazines."
