🚨 “GHOST PARTICLE” FROM SPACE STUNS SCIENTISTS Scientists have detected an extremely high-energy “ghost particle” from space that passed through Earth almost completely unnoticed. These particles, called neutrino, rarely interact with matter—but this one carries energy so powerful that it challenges current physics theories. Researchers believe it may have come from extreme cosmic events like a black hole or a supernova, but its true origin is still unknown. This discovery could open a new window into understanding the universe. Source: IceCube Collaboration. (2024). Observation of an ultra-high-energy neutrino event. IceCube Neutrino Observatory.

Dubai is going all-in on AI agents, leapfrogging the rest of the world. Reading this I’m more and more worried about the EU. Nothing is happening there in terms of AI, it’ll come to bite them soon (e.g. nobody will be able to get UBI, because robots & AI will have to finance it).

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , we are launching today a new initiative to transform towards Agentic AI (self-executing and self-leading artificial intelligence) in Dubai’s private sector. Our goal is for Dubai to become the world’s leading city in adopting these technologies economically and commercially — giving us a new competitive edge for the future. The transformation program spans two years and includes specialized training tracks for all business councils affiliated with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We have also directed the Chamber to establish incubators for Agentic AI companies to support this transformation, create new economic opportunities for young people in this field, and set up dedicated funds to back this new shift. Our objective is to empower our companies to adopt these technologies that will boost productivity, expand business volumes, and reshape the city — making its economy the best in the world in adopting Agentic AI technologies. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid is today leading a comprehensive movement to reshape Dubai into the world’s most future-ready city — technologically, economically, in infrastructure, and with facilities that elevate quality of life to standards no one has reached before.

🧠 Trauma can shrink your brain—but exercise can help rebuild it. Scientific studies show that trauma and chronic stress reduce the size of your hippocampus—the part of your brain responsible for memory and emotion—mainly by suppressing BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) and neurogenesis. But there’s good news: 🏃‍♂️ Regular aerobic exercise (like running or cycling) has been shown to increase hippocampal volume, boost BDNF levels, and promote the growth of new brain cells—even after injury or emotional trauma. • Erickson et al. (2011) found that 1 year of aerobic exercise increased hippocampal size in older adults by ~2%. • Animal studies show that post-trauma exercise reverses brain shrinkage and improves memory—only when BDNF pathways are active. 💡 Movement isn’t just good for your body—it literally helps rewire and regrow your brain.

Tech layoffs are skyrocketing: Tech companies announced 81,747 layoffs in Q1 2026, the highest quarterly total since at least Q1 2024. Layoffs have more than DOUBLED from the previous quarter and have risen +580% since Q4 2025. March alone saw 45,800 announced job cuts, the worst single month for tech layoffs in at least 2 years. Tech layoffs are set to remain elevated with Meta's, $META, recent plans to cut ~8,000 employees. Furthermore, Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering voluntary retirement to ~7% of its US workforce, which could transition into layoffs if participation is low. This comes as tech giants shift spending toward AI chips and data centers, trimming staff to free up capital for infrastructure. US tech employment is rapidly contracting.

⚡ Scientists Just Discovered a Strange Secret Inside Graphene For years, researchers have been fascinated by Graphene, a material only one atom thick but incredibly strong and powerful for electronics. Many believe it could shape the future of computing. Now engineers have uncovered something surprising. They found that magnetic waves can behave almost exactly like the electrons moving inside graphene. When scientists built a magnetic structure with the same honeycomb pattern as graphene, the waves started moving in the same unusual way as graphene’s electrons. Why is this exciting? Because magnetic waves can carry information without moving electric charge, which means future computers could run much faster while using far less energy. It’s still early research, but this unexpected link could open the door to a completely new kind of technology called magnonic computing. Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs begin with a mystery and this strange connection might be one of them.
