I feel no sympathy for the students getting lathi-charged by the police in Patna for demanding jobs. They all are above 18, Every year, they protest against the government, face lathi charges, and still end up voting for the BJP. Their parents, meanwhile, continue supporting the BJP because of cash-benefit schemes and Ladli Behna-style welfare programs.
