Noticed something weird with Apple’s Password generator today .. went to look and all of the 8 passwords I “generated” today are the exact same password. Pretty annoying given that I use a password manager to avoid that.

@MalwareJake Well if they didn't continue Cobalt Strike and it didn't get famous because of TAs then EDRs wont get better. All these bold claims about minor contributions just make people look like a 🤡

Fortra doing a victory lap claiming they've cut illicit Cobalt Strike usage by 80% is one thing. CTI analysts uncritically parroting this ridiculous claim is quite another. Cobalt Strike usage is down because EDRs got better at identifying it specifically. Fortra is AT BEST a minor contributor here.

@woodburn_nathan I think there are 2-3 different proposed solutions that we have all been talking about. I think it would be really useful if we could have someone from each camp per se to document exactly what they feel is the best solution? Maybe it'll be easier for everyone to conceptualize?

JANET flight bringing workers back from the security site (Groom Lake). They fly employees from McCarran up to the rest site as a security precaution (easier to check one plane vs 200 cars). JANET = Just Another Non Existent Terminal

As someone who lives in the Vegas area and does Search and Rescue out here, I beg you, if attending #DEFCON, please stay hydrated. If you decide to go walkabout, let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return. Happy to give advice to anyone on things to do :)
