Accountability is must. Hiding behind "source-based" reporting to spread unverified claims must stop. Legal framework is needed: either disclose source or hold media house & journalist completely liable for news. "Anonymous sources" can't be an escape route from responsibility.

#WATCH | Delhi: On PM Modi reducing his security convoy, former R&AW Secretary Samant Goel says, "The current international security situation is highly volatile. There have been three attacks on US President Trump, despite it being considered the safest country. There are several elements who are against India. Terror activities are happening, especially by our neighbouring state. So, in such a situation, I personally feel that we must make special arrangements for PM's security. As per the current threat assessments, drones and sniper guns have come in. So, we need to review his security and strengthen it, rather than downsizing it. I feel this is not right. This is not in the interest of the nation."

Absolutely agree with @gurinipspb .. both PM and HM are very high value targets for the enemies of the nation. Absolutely foolproof security as per the threat assessment is a must and non negotiable. Other specialist vehicles like jammers, ambulance and quick response team are essential as per the SOP. No compromise on that under any circumstances whatsoever.
Following the austerity measures by personal example for everyone to follow suit is highly appreciated👍

Many are making fun of Vijay’s stern looks after he became CM. Jokes aside, let me tell you what is happening here. He took oaths of secrecy as CM. One by one, heads of various agencies are reaching him in wee hours & sharing with him the secret info which only CMs & such levels are supposed to know. Right now, he is rising above a commoner & picking up levels on intelligence pyramid of this country. He is getting to know what has happened before him & who did it. He is getting to know how deep the rot is and who caused it. Who is corrupt to what level. All those people sitting with him in state assembly, he is seeing their “files”, the real them. So, he cannot really look at them & pretend to be happy. Even as an actor. This is not some random fiction writing. This is exactly how system works. Those oaths have only this purpose and they immediately start the process to loop in the new CM/PM as he has to be best informed person in any any crisis. The information load and realisation you are the final signature on paper raises a lot of expectations & anxieties. US president grows old like bread. New party TVK, no senior leader around, all the more reasons to be serious.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to reduce his convoy size shows humility and a desire for simplicity, which is admirable. However, in today’s security environment, this move raises genuine concerns. The safety of our Prime Minister is not just a personal matter -it is a matter of national security. Any lapse can have serious consequences for the country’s stability. I respectfully request PM @narendramodi to kindly reconsider and restore an adequate convoy size while keeping essential security as per SPG protocol. India needs Modi ji strong, safe, and leading us for many more years. His security must never be compromised in the pursuit of symbolism. Nation First always includes protecting our leadership.
