Kenya a middle income country while Tanzania is lower income economy

I stated that Tanzania is wealthier, has better planning compared to Kenya. Round II. In fact second only to Egypt in Africa.
Tanzania is constructing 2500km of SGR and financing 60% from Exchequer. About US$ 5B and borrowing only US$2B.
Kenyan SGR is only 600km so far and it is borrowing 100%.
Kenya can't do 200km of a mere Bitumen Road Limuru Mau Summit and has to resort to a PPP which is a very expensive Loan???
Tanzania has just completed Julius Nyerere 2115MW HPP at a cost of US$ 2.9 Billion from Exchequer and has paid 100% No loan.
Kenya doesn't have money for for a much smaller Grand Falls 1000 MW.
Kenya's Debt is KShs 13 Trillion. Tanzania is 50% of that figure.
In fact which is the biggest Project Kenya has financed from its own resources the last 20 years?
I can't think of any.
Forget the cooked GDP figures that Kenya is the biggest Economy.

@rodgers_adai Kenya is a middle income country. TZ is a low income. KE borrow at a high interest rate than TZ. Comparing KE to TZ is like wondering why rent in Kisumu is higher than Siaya.

@NoEscapeKe @business We do not sell our power but transmit power from Ethiopia to TZ. Kenya imports power from ET and UG. TZ doesn't have enough power to export or even run its own SGR efficiently.

Once you enter Tanzania, the police at the first two checkpoints may try to harass you, remind you of how terrible Kenya is (in their perception), and attempt to rip you off with traffic fines. While in Tanzania, some people may look at the way you dress in a strange way as a form of indirect harassment, yet they will ignore white people and others who dress freely. The backhanded bullying and hostility are unnecessary.

To help address a flash floods data gap, we created Groundsource: a new AI methodology using Gemini to identify 2.6M+ historical events across 150+ countries.
We’re open-sourcing this dataset to advance global research, and urban flash flood forecasts are live now in Flood Hub to help communities stay safe.
