This is the video that earned @AirCanada CEO a summons to Ottawa because it wasn’t done in French.
As the organization is scrambling to support the injured and the families of those injured and killed, politicians and members of the Canadian public want to nitpick on what language was or wasn’t spoken.
The video has both English and French subtitles. In times of an emergency, that should have been more than adequate, not to mention it gets the information out faster if they don’t have to double the length of the video to repeat everything in two languages.
Not every single thing has to be exactly equal all the time. Those who think it does are destroying our society.

An Air Canada plane crashes, resulting in the deaths of two pilots.
Over on Radio-Canada, the "conservative" on the panel is having a fit that the Air Canada CEO didn't speak French in his video and demands his resignation over it.
Someone should let these people on the panel know that the victims in this tragedy were the pilots and the injured passengers, not the French language.

Lorsqu’une personne choisit de s’en affranchir, en toute connaissance de cause, elle ne manque pas seulement à une règle, elle faillit à une responsabilité fondamentale. Dans un tel contexte, la conséquence doit être claire. Celui ou celle qui ne respecte pas la langue fondatrice de ce pays et les obligations qui en découlent n’a plus la légitimité d’occuper ses fonctions. Il ou elle doit en tirer les conclusions qui s’imposent et démissionner.

The language does not irritate me at all. I fully agree that it is one of Canada's official languages.
What irritates me is that you seem to be far more concerned about the Air Canada CEO's failure to give a video address in French than you are about the tragedy itself.
Air Canada has clearly demonstrated a respect for both languages and follows the law accordingly. You know this very well, I'm sure. They ensured that there was a French post as well as French subtitles.

@Harry__Faulkner He is right, the CEO living in Montreal gets 12 mil$ a year with additional budget for a Fr tutor, instead he keep the money for a new purse for his wife when flying free to Pari. If he addresses the family of the killed pilot family living in Qc he should know better
