LOYISO BALA WROTE👇 At 36, I faced a harsh reality. If I didn’t make a change, I’d soon be in my 40s, struggling to book gigs, watching opportunities fade. I had spent years building a name in the industry, but deep down, I knew relying solely on music might not sustain me in the long run. I wasn’t willing to take that risk. I could already see where things were headed. Despite a successful career, I would likely spend my days blaming the system for why musicians struggle financially. Not because the argument wasn’t valid, but because my career would have quietly slipped away, leaving me with nothing but frustration and “back in my day” stories. The problem? No degree. No corporate experience. Just music. But instead of accepting that fate, I took a leap. I walked into HenleyAfrica, hoping to start from scratch. A friend suggested I apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which allowed my experience to count towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Business (PGDip). That application was terrifying. Getting accepted was even scarier. I sat in my first class, completely out of my depth, Googling terms like “HR” and “balance sheets” because I was too embarrassed to ask. But I didn’t quit. I graduated. Then I went for what seemed impossible – an MBA. While studying, I volunteered at TBN Africa as a presenter and producer. Just before finishing my MBA, I was appointed as Channel Director. Three years later, I joined SABC, leading some of the biggest radio stations in the country. At 36, I had no idea if I could rebuild my life. Now at 45, I stand in a career I once thought was out of reach, and it feels like I’ve been doing this for decades. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: it’s never too late to start over, to learn, to change paths, or to embrace new opportunities. Your past does not define your future. On the other side of fear is growth. Be bold. Step into the unknown. Do what feels uncomfortable. And when you’ve done all you can, trust that God will take care of the rest.

Heavenly Father, As I begin this new day, I thank You for the gift of life and the beauty of this Wednesday morning. Guide my steps today, Lord, and help me to walk in Your wisdom and grace. Grant me the strength to face any challenges, the patience to deal with others in kindness, and the focus to complete my tasks with excellence. May my actions reflect Your love and light in all that I do. Bless my loved ones and keep them safe. Open our hearts to Your teachings and lead us closer to You. Thank You for Your endless mercies and for the opportunity to grow and serve. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

@FlySafair Where can I report a rude desk official, although she was not in uniform, at the Lanseria Airport this afternoon? I also have the name of the Superintendent but they refused to give the name of the said official.

@Uber_Support It’s not been helpful at all. It’s like you didn’t see on the screen grabs that I sent you that your driver went to a wrong address and we told him so. Does that make sense?

Emails I sent to Uber Eats said that address does not receive mail anymore. Messages I sent to your Instagram page gave me the same rejection. This order was R705.90. Imagine!😳

@UberEats Hi, I wish to express my concern about an order yesterday from Snookies in Tokai that never reached us. It took the whole day for me to get a response from your App after submitting my complaint as requested by Help support.

Uber Eats’ response was that you will not refund this order. I have all the screen grabs for this communication and you make a decision based on this guy’s evidence which is a lie. By the way, it’s the second time this happens. Please check

The driver’s name is Joster - Lifan LF150 CAA 599319. After saying to us he has arrived, it was not our address, he said his scooter was ‘brock’ I suppose he meant broken, he didn’t answer his phone 0600841284. My grandson went out several times.

@zsimayi @goolamv Money is so evasive. It hates being stolen. All attempts never end well and we’ve seen this over and over and over again. 🤣

@TimesLIVE What is going on right now between the EFF and the MKP is nothing but phori mahlong... one thing I know is that these two people are planning something big for 2029...sapporters can tweet insults at each other, but at the end of the day, Zuma and Malema know what is going on.
