Design is the differentiator in AI era.
Companies are waking up to the importance of having good design.
Today, @ADPList is releasing an extraordinary collection of 90 winning design tactics used by the world's best products like Duolingo, Airbnb, Figma and more.

Hey @Figma , here’s a free idea for Config. In addition to introvert and extrovert stickers, creating a Hiring sticker or OpenToWork and help those who are looking for their next big thing.

@AlexCristache So simple but clever and elegant. Thanks so much!

As usual, if it's Thursday, in a few hours we get a new color palette in the #MindfulPalettes series, no. 164.

This looks so cool.
I'm also inclined to like anything that gets close to the Kaneda's bike look though.
The Figen@TheFigen_
This engineer designed an omnidirectional ball motorcycle that balances laterally like a Segway and moves in any direction.

@CliaLpz Is this running in browser ? It's kind of amazing - and if I wanted to do the same thing, would I do it in spline?

Kudos to you and the team. These AI systems are imperfect and you're not the first company that is working out the sharp parts of the bleeding edge. The drive-by zealots will come and go. Deeper QA and better training will yield incredible things. 🤘

(5) As I discussed at Config, we believe that craft is your competitive advantage and it’s more important than ever to create unique designs. We live in a world where any off the shelf LLM can help you go from prompt to software in one shot. Designers will need new tools to explore the option space of possibilities, and we intend to build these tools. My belief is that if we build these tools the right way, then designers will be able to have MORE creative expression, not less.

@gruber Isnt this article an argument for why the App Store is a safe ground for users, despite the onerous Apple commission?

🤯 iOS 17 Symbol Recognition in pictures you take:
So, I stumbled upon something pretty cool in the new iOS 17 update that I just had to share with you.
Test it out for car buttons or laundry tags, and you will be amazed.
How to use it:
1. Take a photo of a laundry tag
2. Swipe up on the photo
3. Tap on "look up laundry care"
It’s moments like these that make me excited about where technology is heading.
Making our lives easier, one symbol at a time!

@ilyamiskov Autolayout mimics a lot of the browser rendering of the DOM so you get a sense of how a page would be rendered pretty quickly and then you can tweak it nearly as fast as you implemented it.

@jackmcdade Dunno but me thinks/hypothesizes it's because they run on so many old/low-powered devices that processing a lot of SVGs is maybe being avoided. Purely speculation on my part though...

I've long suspected that TikTok inflated views to get people to move from IG & SC. Views on Twitter makes me think the same thing. Interesting to see how this game theory & product hack plays out #productdesign #productmanagement
