Watching the news it breaks my heart seeing the children who are terrified. What are we as human beings doing to these innocent children. it’s an absolute disgrace what is happening to these children who have done nothing to deserve this. What can we do? What can ordinary British people - in particular non-Jews like me - do to stop this hateful anti-semitic stain on our country? It's not enough to post tweets or donate to security for synagogues. How do we show not just our support for our fellow Jewish citizens but also our refusal to tolerate the anti-semites on our streets? All ideas welcome. Staying silent and doing nothing just aren't options anymore.

This morning's attack is absolutely shocking. I’m on my way back to London to chair an emergency meeting, and additional police assets are being deployed to synagogues across the country. We will do everything we can to keep our Jewish community safe.
