@Hania16836 So you intentionally broke the law, but only for a little while. Apparently i am unaware of the leniency for up to 5 minutes. I’m betting you also use the HOV lane when convenient?
To the person who called in my car at the disabled parking spot at Target… I honestly just want to understand why.
I was inside the store for under five minutes. Ran in, grabbed what I needed, and came right back out. By the time I got outside, there was already a tow truck lifting my car.
How does something escalate that fast?
I wasn’t parked there long, I wasn’t leaving it there while I shopped—I was literally just in and out for a quick stop.
But somehow that small window of time was enough for someone to report it and for it to turn into a tow.
Now I’m stuck dealing with the tow yard, fees, and all the stress that comes with it, over something that feels like it got way out of hand.
Less than five minutes.
How does Rushing get fooled on a Pitching called? Why doesn’t he initiate the challenge? How about the respect the Umpire has for Otani for allowing the challenge after the three second mark.

Noticed this strange pipe sticking out of my neighbor’s place, no idea what it’s for. It looks out of place and kind of sketchy. Anyone know what it might be or if it's something to be concerned about
@ScoringChanges@Phillies@Mets OMG, that was a double. Went to third on the throw home! I realize he was going to third even without the throw home (specifically to get the cycle), but would have been out by thirty feet.
🚨CYCLE SCORING ALERT🚨
Tons of folks sent this one in from the @Phillies and @Mets game, with Bryce Harper completing the cycle with this fifth inning triple.
I believe this was scored correctly as a triple.
This falls under Rule 9.06; Determining the Value of Base Hits.
The key is Harper never slowed down at all and was going for third the whole time. One of the things the scorer has to determine is whether or not Harper went to third on the throw or not.
He obviously was going for third regardless, and the fact that he would have been out is inconsequential here.
The OS Manual states this:
“Had the bases been empty, would the batter-runner have attempted to advance the extra base? If not, the value of the base hit should not include the additional base.”
The answer on this one is yes, Harper would have ATTEMPTED to advance. Doesn’t say if he would have been safe. Since he would have attempted this regardless of the throw home, he was, IMHO, correctly credited with a triple.
Iconic is different than “best.” For me, it’s about the call, the stakes, the image everyone remembers, and whether the home run still lives outside the box score. Thomson at 1 feels right, but the top 5 is loaded. What would you change?
@BhattiLaib9960 40 was too low, good service 100 on a 500 bill, great service 150! you don’t eat out much because you tip like you can’t afford a $500 tab. if you can’t afford to tip, don’t eat at a restaurant where servers/staff need tips! it’s ALL about service! $40 tip says bad service.
We went to a dinner as a group and had a $500 bill. We tipped $40. We were happy we can be able to give our server something, but her reaction was the opposite. She told us she assumed we're going to give her at least $120. When we asked for the manager, she said she was just joking, but she wasn't smiling at all. Idk, but is $40 tip enough for $500 bill? I just feel like expecting $120 is not realistic...
@PitchingNinja What is all the crying about in the comments? He made an illegal slide and the Dodgers paid for his stupidity. What should have been a simple force out became a double play.
@DodgersNation Not that it makes much difference, but they have to change that to an error all the way. Will cost Freeland a hit and the pitcher will save one earned run.
Alex Freeland singles to shortstop Zach Neto, allowing Max Muncy, Ryan Ward, and Dalton Rushing to score. Freeland advances to second on a throwing error by Neto. The score is now Dodgers 7, Angels 1.
Tanner Scott secures the strikeout against Wade Meckler in the top of the ninth. Scott showcased impressive command with a mix of sliders and fastballs, culminating in a swinging strike three. Score remains tied at 0.
Andy Pages and Freddie Freeman both have over a 70% chance to hit a home run tonight, according to @fanaticsmarkets 👀
The Dodgers look to win their 3rd straight game tonight.
"Roberto Clemente never argued.
He didn’t need umpires.
He just needed one pitch!
The best right field hitter I ever saw.
Roberto was strong all over.
He hit so many line drives in the infield he’s lucky he didn’t kill anybody.
The bigger the guy, the less he argues.
You never heard a word out of Stan Musial, Willie Mays or Roberto Clemente.
They never tried to make you look bad."
Umpire Tom Gorman.
