@BellaDunnWriter You're welcome. I think I would have felt the same if someone messaged me something like that. They do go to rather elaborate and convincing lengths sometimes. It can be scary. I'd say your account is safe though and all of that is just a ruse. 🙂

I went to check this person on LinkedIn and it does not exist.
They kept asking for my Discord.

So, a user has reported my account as a scammer and has asked all their friends to report it as well and they're now claiming that my account is due to deactivation.
They say they have reached out to @Support to cancel the report, but bcs there were multiple reports, the case is

@BellaDunnWriter Agreed and you're right. If you were engaging in any scammy behavior, the algorithm would auto detect it and X would contact you first. I think it must be fake. I've found posts discussing a similar sounding situation.

Scammer: so hear me out and please dont be mad at me I accidentally reported your twitter account instead of someone else. I mean, I'm the one who reported you accidentally. I got panicked and I lost control. It's not good cause it was quite alarming because I told some of my friends to report you. That's why I reached out to you to see what the twitter staff emailed me, and I'm scared because I don't want you to get banned because of me. I just really need your help so I can fix it.
I apologize for mistakenly submitting your account accusing you of scamming or fraud. I'm here to inform you about this serious issue, as it's my fault. If you've read the ticket I sent to you, it specifies that you should contact the corporate security head through a friend request for further investigation.
