@PurpleMoonMeep I kinda like the modern format of things today TBH. Piracy is sooooo much easier than it used to be and the quality is really good too. Allegedly, I should say, because I don't really know about that kinda stuff.

I've seen this post before. Things change, dude. And when they do, no one's saying you have to ' replace' your record and cd collection. You still got your favorites somewhere next to your cd player and record player. You know you do.

If people want to know why Gen X is always mad, it's because we had to replace our record collections with a tape collection and then replace that with a CD collection that we slowly replaced with an MP3 collection and now need a subscription to listen to music.

Schools are removing analogue clocks and replacing them with digital ones because learners can’t tell the time. Met a 21-year-old recently, asked him the time… he couldn’t answer. I’ve seen it first hand 😭

@Wisteraverse This isn't a criticism I'd ever consider as I was drinking beer at a much younger age than 21. 😂 Also, I recognize the difference between fantasy and reality too. People can be a bit much at times. 🤦♂️

An American beta-reader criticized my 18-year-old character drinking beer because they assumed it should not be allowed, despite it being high fantasy set in a fictional & historical world. Also drinking age (beer, wine) in Germany is 16.

So apparently there’s a lot of knowledge I can use from being Canadian and setting my story in Alberta Canada that is gonna make me seem legit. For example, the drinking age here is 18, my FMC is 19 and is surprised that she can drink at the bar (my FMC is American)
