My mentor and dear friend, Sota Yuyama, recently lost his job due to the closure of his studio today. He's now searching for his next opportunity at the end of the month. He taught me everything I know, and I owe so much to him. Sota is truly amazing at combat animation! He's an OG in the game industry with titles like Luigi's Mansion 3,Bully, SSX 3 and Turok. @michalzalobny @The_ArtOfCode @pikuma Very cool, I love 3js but its bundle size is something that still digs into my sides a bit, even with the code splitting efforts they've gone through. 10kb just sounds so sexy

WebGL2 3D engine built from scratch I made it to benchmark 3D on web without any libraries, achieving a smooth 120FPS and scoring 4 x 100 in Lighthouse. Code below Also, the whole JavaScript is only 10kb. Rain shader from @The_ArtOfCode tutorial 3D models from @pikuma course

@theo_the_dev Thanks, good call out! Yeah right now it is, I used a naive 1:1 sampling method and just focused on the shaders, but it's pretty much the next step for me.

Been playing around with the idea of a hand-painted base layer generator in Designer. I tried this previously but couldn't get results I was happy with, but I wanted to try again before I return to my Dishonored scene. Excuse the compression, but the results are pretty neat. 🧵
