Climate change is coming for us all, and last night it reached the heart of Scotland's capital.
A wildfire broke out in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, as strong winds and tinder-dry vegetation helped the flames spread.
This is not the Amazon. This is not Australia. This is Scotland.

Why can't we just have Standard Time?
Why are we choosing to go with Daylight Saving Time which was invented by corporations to make people work more and it's been proven to have ill effects on our health and natural cycles?
Daylight saving time disrupts circadian rhythms, leading to sleep loss, increased cardiovascular risks, mental health challenges, and higher accident rates.

@RogerSeheult More people are driving on the road in the evening. So you can have sunlight when less people are on the road in morning or you can have sunlight when more are on the road in the evening. More evening sunlight = less accidents overall.

@mr_jay_pea We tried DST in 1974 and people hated it and they got rid of it promptly. Look it up. Don’t make the same mistake twice.

Not enough time for golf after work? START YOUR WORK AN HOUR EARLIER. There’s no reason to force millions of Americans to start their work and school in the dark for three-plus months every winter. Time to stop being selfish ditch the switch with permanent Standard Time!

Worried about kids at the bus stop in the dark? Start school an hour later. Schools and businesses set their own hours. That's not a reason to keep flipping the clock forever. Time to end the switch.
