Independent. It is past time to end the experimental Prohibition 2.0, the unjust, un-American, overreaching, nanny state policy of cannabis prohibition.

Hello @ElonMusk. This is how you are perceived. Not too late to course correct but it’s getting pretty late. You certainly have the extra money on hand to really help the people of the world instead of the hellbent road of chaos and destruction you are ludicrously barreling down. Put down the Ket straw. 🤪

There are over 800 active wildfires burning across Canada. Entire communities have been erased and dense smoke has caused major cities like Toronto to have the worst air quality in the world. No time to wait. #ActOnClimate #climate #energy @markjcarney

Literally every news story this am is related to extreme weather. - Another 1000 year flood in TX - Canada fires making the air unbreathable for half the US - Record heat everywhere else - LA fire victims out of temporary housing $ Can we stop denying the climate crisis now?

@kyleraccio @_Moon__Rider_ By shifting an hour of daylight to the evening, when traffic and human activity are highest, experts project it could reduce pedestrian fatalities by roughly 13% and decrease deer-vehicle collisions by about 2.3% annually

@_Moon__Rider_ Maybe do some research before saying that. Accidents increased significantly in 1974, and yes there were deaths

The fake time advocates don't care. They want people to die for their preference of an artificial clock. Study suggests most Americans would be healthier without daylight saving time med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/…

Why can't we just have Standard Time? Why are we choosing to go with Daylight Saving Time which was invented by corporations to make people work more and it's been proven to have ill effects on our health and natural cycles? Daylight saving time disrupts circadian rhythms, leading to sleep loss, increased cardiovascular risks, mental health challenges, and higher accident rates.

@VernBuchanan @HeraldTribune Respectfully, does the Herald–Tribune not fact-check op-eds, Editor @wtatangelo? Permanent DST would increase fatal accidents and chronic illnesses. What the congressman claims as benefits of his proposal are instead benefits of permanent Standard Time. x.com/SaveStandard/s…

“The House chose golfers over kids… Permanent DST would misalign circadian rhythms, crucial for sleep, mood, and safety, particularly for children…”

@RepDexterOR There is climate change but no good evidence of a 'crisis'. Poor forest management certainly is not evidence of either.

The climate crisis is fueling an onslaught of dirty air, and it's making our communities sick. As the first and only lung doctor in Congress, I know we can't separate climate policy from public health. The climate crisis is a public health emergency. That is why Congress must pass my Climate Health Emergency Act to force HHS to declare the climate crisis a public health emergency, which will unlock emergency resources to combat this moment with the urgency it demands. nytimes.com/live/2026/07/1…

@RogerSeheult More people are driving on the road in the evening. So you can have sunlight when less people are on the road in morning or you can have sunlight when more are on the road in the evening. More evening sunlight = less accidents overall.

Can anyone make a valid health argument for permanent daylight saving time that doesn’t begin with the phrase, “but I prefer…”?

@mr_jay_pea We tried DST in 1974 and people hated it and they got rid of it promptly. Look it up. Don’t make the same mistake twice.

Not enough time for golf after work? START YOUR WORK AN HOUR EARLIER. There’s no reason to force millions of Americans to start their work and school in the dark for three-plus months every winter. Time to stop being selfish ditch the switch with permanent Standard Time!
Eric Burlison@EricBurlison

Worried about kids at the bus stop in the dark? Start school an hour later. Schools and businesses set their own hours. That's not a reason to keep flipping the clock forever. Time to end the switch.

TRUMP’S LIES, CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE FUTURE OF THE PLANET The last eleven years have been the hottest eleven years on record. The last three years have been the hottest three years on record. Europe just saw its worst heat wave in recorded history that set all-time heat records in seven countries, killed more than 10,000 people, and caused the worst heat stress ever in half of the continent’s largest cities. Much of the American west just saw its warmest winter on record, and as a country, the United States just saw its worst spring drought in recorded history. This summer alone we have seen multiple record heatwaves that have exposed hundreds of millions of Americans to dangerous levels of heat. In both the United States and Canada, this heat and drought is driving longer and more intense wildfire seasons, including the more than 800 wildfires across Canada and northern Minnesota that are currently causing dangerous levels of air pollution for at least 115 million people across 20 states. Let’s be clear: It is not normal for Detroit, Minneapolis, and Chicago to have some of the most dangerous air quality in the world. NO, Mr. President: climate change is not a hoax. It is reality. And your ignorance is putting our kids and grandkids at risk in exchange for the short-term profit of your billionaire friends in Big Oil. Our job: Reject President Trump’s lies and take on the crisis of climate change and the greed of the fossil fuel industry by transitioning our energy system to energy efficiency and sustainable forms of power. When we do that, we cut carbon emissions, reduce energy bills, and create millions of good union jobs. And, by the way, we save the planet for our kids and grandchildren.
