புதிய தலைவலி ஒன் த வே ... ஈரானிய போர்க்கப்பல் இந்து சமுத்திரத்தில் தாக்கப்பட்ட விவகாரம் இலங்கையை பெரிதும் பாதிக்காது என்று கருதலாம்.அது இலங்கை கடல் எல்லைக்கு அப்பால் நடந்தது என்பதால் அதைக் கூறி சமாளிக்கலாம். ஆனால் காயமடைந்த ஈரானியர்களை கையாள்வதில் வெளிநாடுகளின் தலையீடு வருமாயின் அதை சமாளிப்பது தலையிடியாக மாறும். இதனைவிட , தாக்குதல் நடத்தப்படலாம் என்ற அச்சத்தில் ஈரானின் மற்றுமொரு போர்க்கப்பல் கொழும்பு துறைமுகத்தில் தஞ்சமடைந்திருப்பதாக தகவலொன்று கூறுகிறது. அப்படியாயின் கொழும்புக்கு புதிய நெருக்கடியொன்று வரப்போகிறது.இதனை எப்படி அரசு கையாளப்போகிறதென்பது தெரியவில்லை.

What’s happened off the coast near Galle is extremely serious. Reports indicate over 100 Iranian personnel missing after what appears to be a submarine attack just outside our waters, a major security concern. If military activity of this scale is happening so close to Sri Lanka, the government cannot treat it as “someone else’s problem.” Were we aware of submarine movements? Were our surveillance systems functioning? Or were we completely in the dark? Under the Merchant Shipping Act, the Sri Lanka Navy has rightly launched search and rescue operations following the distress call. Their swift response reflects the Navy’s proud tradition of service and vigilance at sea. If confirmed, it signals that tensions far beyond our region are now touching these waters. Incidents like this remind us that Sri Lanka sits at the heart of the Indian Ocean and must remain vigilant in safeguarding maritime security, humanitarian response, and the stability of our region. My thoughts are with all those affected and their families.

Number of dead and critically wounded sailors recovered from sunk Iranian frigate IRIS Dena by Sri Lanka in Sri Lankan waters seemed to suggest a US submarine attack. Dena was returning from peace time Fleet Review hosted by India when the US attack on Iran began. Questions remain, did India allow US sub to dock in their ports?

An Iranian ship, invited by India, caught offguard and blown apart in international waters? I am not taking any sides here. But.. is this right? I am no war expert but shouldn’t war have some ethics too?

Ayatollah Khamenei will be remembered by history as a leader who stood against powerful nations and refused to bow down to a corrupt system. May his life inspire more people to have the courage to stand for truth and justice.

LTTE leaders, including Prabhakaran (from the Iyakkam/Vellalar caste), are responsible for countless deaths. LTTE terrorists were barred from entering Jaffna Tamil homes or Hindu kovils due to their internal caste discrimination. Many came from fishing and other marginalized communities, now trying to share wisdom on their behalf. Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan government is recognized globally as a responsible entity.

Deeply saddened by reports of the attack on Iran. War only intensifies instability and human suffering, a course the global community must firmly reject. The path forward lies in responsible diplomacy, restraint, and a renewed commitment to peace over conflict. The Indian Union Government must also ensure the safety and well-being of Indians in Iran and take all necessary measures for their protection.
