If you want transport that isn’t affected by an oil crisis, get a battery electric vehicle. It’s that simple.

Those happy Scandinavian countries have one important thing that keeps them so happy. Uncorrupted highly intelligent leadership that actually works to better the lives of everyone in their country. It’s the start and end of great government.

Here's the Sentry Mode footage of 67-year old Karen Lewis vandalizing a Cybertruck with a board and nails. She then placed the board under the front tire, presumably hoping it would be driven over. She also placed an aluminum sign under another tire, because? She has since been arrested and charged with misdemeanor damage to property.

There should be one overwhelming priority for the EU — financially and politically: Get the fuck off fossil fuels. The security hawks obsessing over a Russian invasion are a distraction. The focus should be a Green Energy revolution.

@BellaWallerstei Excellent! Heat Pumps and electric cooking are available you know, and the UK government will even pay for £7.5K of the cost of a Heat Pump. There’s nothing that’ll get the UK off gas better than not having any.

UK gas prices up 20% again this morning. The Government should urgently reverse ban on North Sea oil and gas. Our delusional energy strategy has not been devised in our national interest

While Australians are losing confidence in the Albanese government, the best @JEChalmers had to offer in his speech today was a ‘malaise’ moment and declared he can’t deliver higher standards of living for 5 years, but will deliver new taxes.

Explain to me like I’m five: I’m currently getting 8.4 kW of electricity from my solar panels while only using .5kW, the rest is charging my batteries and going back to the grid (it’s a cloudy day). Why then, are we building an LNG terminal while the main LNG fields are on fire?

Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy. Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks.

@matthew_elliott @JohnCleese This is what happens when you close your own industries down for “cheaper” imports. Completely ignoring the communities that don’t then earn and pay taxes but then become welfare costs, all resulting in a higher total cost.

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.

Pretty astonishing. In Texas, between 10:00 am and 4:00 p.m., 80-90% of electricity comes from carbon free sources. And storage is already a significant contributor in the early morning and evening

@janrosenow @TheDisproof @BBCNews My mum installed a Heat Pump and Solar in 2009 and cut off the gas, as did we went we bought our home. We’re baffled why the rest of you cannot see fossil fuels as an expensive, insecure, polluting addiction.

I just told @BBCNews: Energy crises are fundamentally demand problems, not supply problems. 80% of our energy is fossil fuels, much of it imported, leaving us exposed to price spikes. The only long-term fix: electrify the economy with clean power.
